How can I make my leather bag more durable?
To prolong the life of leather goods we recommend regularly cleaning and waterproofing your bags. To do this we suggest using a clean damp cloth to wipe your bag, applying a natural wax-based care product, and finishing with a waterproofing spray.
How often should I clean my bag?
We recommend cleaning your bag at least once a year, or whenever the leather starts to feel dry or rough.
What leather care products should I use?
Choose colorless products to protect against water and oil. We recommend natural wax-based products to clean, soften, and protect your leather. All Berliner Bags products are made from smooth leather, so choose care products accordingly.
Why is the color of my bag different from the product image?
Slight color and texture irregularities are natural in vegetable-tanned leather. Each vintage bag has a unique color, is hypoallergenic, and chemical-free. Over time, the leather will naturally darken with regular use.
Why does my bag have a smell?
Leather, as a natural material, may have a strong smell initially. Natural vegetable tanning process doesn't fully neutralize it, but the scent fades in 2-4 weeks of use. To speed it up, place a scented sachet or dryer sheet inside the bag.
