Superb Dynamic Contrast RatioThe ViewSonic VA2703-LED provides for darker black levels and better overall front-of-screen performance. Darker black levels enhance brightness for an exquisite picture at all color levels.
Pair it with a ViewSonic or Mac computerThe key advantage of the VA2703-LED monitor is its diverse connectivity options, making it flexible to be paired with a PC or a Mac computer. Now you can connect any Viewsonic PC, as well as a MacBook or a Mac Mini, to the VA2703-LED and enjoy widescreen functionality with LED backlight.
Eco-mode for up to 35%* Energy SavingsViewSonic’s proprietary Eco-mode function comes standard with the VA2703-LED. When you don’t need all of the powerful features the VA2703-LED has to offer, you have the option to reduce the monitor’s brightness, save energy, save the planet, and prolong the lamp life. You can select one of the “Optimize” or “Conserve” options and save up to 35% energy. Especially under low ambient light conditions, adjusting the brightness will improve visibility by reducing eye fatigue. Reducing brightness will also prolong the monitor’s lamp life, improving your return on investment. (*Energy consumption may vary by configuration.)
VESA-MountableThe VA2703-LED features a 100mm x 100mm VESA-mountable design that allows you to mount the display on a monitor stand or on a wall, depending on your specific needs. You can easily detach the base by unscrewing four screws and then mounting the display on its new stand or wall mount.
Pros: I purchased three of these for an eyefinity setup. Not only are they a good price for the size, but the display bezels are also acceptably thin. Comparing them to my older screens, I also appreciate the fact that the bezels are a flat black and not glossy.
The display stands are also surprisingly well constructed compared to my old LG monitors. It's been a few years since I've used ViewSonic, so this may just be me.
The backlit LED displays are also a bit brighter than I'm used to. I consider this to be a good thing.
Cons: It may sound like I'm nitpicking a bit, as there isn't really many bad points that I've noticed so far, however the stands are not height adjustable and the packaging does not include DVI cords (only VGA/power).
Overall Review: Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase decision. I bought 3 monitors and there are no dead pixels or any issues at all.
Pros: Perfect display for my 2nd 27"
Out of the box it was easy to put together and everything was as expected
Cons: Short stand. I set it up next to another 27" monitor from Viewsonic and had secretly hoped it would be the same height but it is considerably shorter. Small complaint as everything else was perfect
Overall Review: Little pricey but I trust Viewsonic's monitors. 2nd one I have bought and so far I have had no issues.
Pros: Excellent resolution and geometry. Good price.
Cons: Color and brightness not uniform towards the sides of the display
Overall Review: Towards the sides the screen becomes yellower and grayer, distinctly more so on the right side than on the left of the unit I purchased. Can't complain too much because of the price and the fact that I use this cpu and monitor only once in a while. Also, since most of my work with photography and 3D graphics is centered in the middle, it's not that big of a deal. If I knew for sure that a replacement unit would be a lot better, I would return this one.
Pros: Inexpensive, large, bright, no dead pixels. The colors are beautiful, vibrant.
Cons: None so far. Hopefully to stay this way.
Overall Review: Knocks my 1 year old Asus 24 inch out of the water. and that is a great monitor. Also my frame rate seems to be a little higher in BF4. I am not sure why that is. Both BF4 and Reaper of Souls, play very smooth, No lag at all. This really surprised me. A very pleasant surprise. Bought it for gaming. Very good choice. Duel monitors...fun
Pros: Large, bright, easy to set up. Arrived with no dead pixels. The monitor is surprisingly light which does make set up a little easier. Menu is straightforward--screen is very bright and for me I had to turn down to 50% brightness. Stand has a nice easy to use tilt adjustment. So far so good and of course Newegg got it hear in 2 days with free shipping.
Cons: Only con is that the stand isn't height adjustable--but I knew that when I bought it.
Pros: For starters, obviously, the screen is big. I love the size and it fits perfectly on my desk.
The colors also look pretty good. I did lower the contrast when I first turned it on as I thought it was a little high, but overall, I'm satisfied.
The scaling on lower resolutions like 720p are actually pretty well done on this monitor, it has a sharpening option for non-native resolutions in the options.
Cons: Only con I can think of is it didn't come with a DVI cable, but I already had one, so no big deal.
Overall Review: It's a great monitor and I highly recommend it.
