What sets this " M " series television apart from the  " E " series Vizio?   With the Android tablet will I need to subscribe to a cell service such as Verizon to operate the television?

Good question.  I am not as familiar with the E series but a lot of picture quality comparisons I read said the M series is noticeably better and brighter.  Also the smartcast and tablet control are nice.  I find that I don't use the tablet all the time but it is great to drop my HBO Now NEtflix, and other streaming apps onto the tablet and stream right form the tablet.   The tablet uses your in home wifi to communicate with the TV and stream to it.  I did find the tablet does not have a ton of memory and comes packed with useless apps I wouldn't use.  So once I dumped all that crap off it I have had no troubles.  It is nice to be able to adjust the TVs picture settings from the tablet and literally make a change and watch the effect.  the screen is so big and the picture so sharp on HD it is just amazing.  Only thing to watch out for is glare form nearby windows can effect the TV picture so just position well or use shades when you need to.  Of course any large flat screen would have that issue.  We have had the M series TV now for 5 months and absolutely love it.
