Question 1

Are the rear speakers wireless or are the wired to the subwoofer?  Can I hook it up to any type of  TV or does it have to be VIZIO?

they are wired to the sub woofer, you can hook to any type of TV using either Bluetooth, red and white audio cables, or and optical cable.

the sub woofer and the "theater" sound bar are what are wireless to each other.  You plug your audio cables into the sound bar then the sub woofer and satellite speakers can me moved around the room for more of a surround sound. When purchasing these I wanna tell you to look into: (  Bell'O 7912B Universal Soundbar Mount, Black  )
for the sound bar:  (OmniMount ELO-B ELO Series Audiophile Speaker Stand  ) It lets you mount on most TVs and for the satellites speakers, it is sturdy and thin.

Hello. Is this system compatible with a Panosonic Viera smart tv(about 2 yrs.old)?

I can't answer that question specifically for the Panasonic, but I can say I am currently using this Visio sound bar with the optical out from a Samsung 52 inch LCD originally purchased in 2007 with no issues.

Do the satellite speakers have wireless connections?

No. They connect to the subwoofer with one wire (each speaker). The sub needs only power and connects to the front speaker via bluetooth. The source sound goes into the front speaker which distributes the signal to the sub which distributes to the rear speakers.

My theater room is prewired, how will the back speakers hookup to the in ceiling connections?

The rear speakers connect to and get a signal from the subwoofer. The subwoofer connects to the front speaker via bluetooth. The front speaker connects via wire to your sound source (TV or AV receiver).  There are no wires needed from front speaker to subwoofer/rear speakers (in case it's not clear, you sub is going to be in the back of the room with the rear speakers on this system.). I don't even think you can use wires... unless you bypassed the subwoofer rear speaker channels and put RCA plugs on your ceiling wires and plugged them into the rear speakers. If you are looking to do this, then you probably don't want this system. The whole point of this system is that you don't have to run wires to the subwoofer or rear speakers.

Are the satellite speakers also wireless or just the subwoofer?

Question 7

Once connected to the TV will your TV remote control the volume or only the sound bar remote?

I just hooked mine up, and my TV remote controls the volume - I didn't even have to program it.
