Is the subwoofer wireless?

No.  I would prefer wireless, but am able to place the sub so wire is not seen.There is a separate power supply for the sub and an extra long cable that connects to the rear of the sound bar.

The unit has a wireless remote control for on/off & volume, but the sub-woofer is wired to the soundbar.

Is this soundbar made exclusively for a Vizio TV?

Yes they designed it for use with they TV'S; But it will work with other sources but all the function won't work as good. SRS sound is not going to work as good unless the source you using supports that type of sound but it will provide  good base any way. You and use the supplied cable the sound bar has inputs for either the RCA jacks or the 3.5 mm jack as long as you can connect the other end to your sound source. I have used it with my computer and a Vizio 42 in tv and it provides good sound both ways but you don't get the SRS sound when useing it with the computer but still get good base.

Question 4

Just purchased this unit and it is not powering on with the TV or any other sound source. After some time of silence, blue power light goes off. I guess energy saving?

Do you need to turn it on before every use? Or, should it turn on automatically as soon as sound source is sending sound signal? Or, should it remain always on? Or, did I get a defective unit?

Can some share their experience with this?

I am new to this product also, so I may not be able to help.  I do know it has a separate power switch that must be on.  I have my soundbar connected directly to a TV and if I shut the TV off while the soundbar is left on, the SB will come back on when the TV is turned back on.  I have not left the TV off in this condition to determine if it is off for an extended period of time the soundbar powers down.  Good luck.

No, the subwoofer is not wireless. It comes with a power plug and a long connector cord, which is also very small in diameter. Very easy to run along a baseboard or tuck away.

Can't give you an exact weight, but I will say the entire system is lightweight. Sub can't weigh more that 10 lbs. Soundbar is maybe 5 lbs.
Sounds very good.
