Many reviews said this came with a European power plug. Is there anyway to avoid this? I am a long time customer of Newegg Thanks

Mine came with a normal plug. I took it out of the box, plugged it in, and it showed up on windows explorer.

Is it Mac compatible?

All USB 2.0 drives are Mac compatible. If you buy a drive that is not formatted for Mac, it's easy to format it. Just use Disk Utility, which is located in your Applications folder inside of Utilities.
