Question 1

Does this drive come with a retaining screw?

Accepted Answer

No it did not, it came with the motherboard. If you never had one supplied or tossed it, look to a repair shop that works on laptops they should what your looking for.

Question 2

What is the operational volume of this drive? i.e. does the computer see it as 250GB?

Accepted Answer

No. As with most Hard Drives (whether mechanical or SSD) the actual size of the drive is what is listed, but when formatted, the usable space is reduced. On average you end up with about 247GB of usable space on this SSD.

Question 3

Newbie to m.2 stuff, will this work with a z370-A PRO msi motherboard?

Accepted Answer

Yes, though i suggest putting it in a lower slot below your GPU that way you get some airflow off the GPU to keep it cool. M.2 SSDs tend to get quite warm when being used heavily and they can thermal throttle when there is no airflow. you should have no problems what so ever as long as it has some good airflow around it, even warm air from a GPU.

Question 4

Is this compatible with the MSI B450 Tomahawk Max?

Accepted Answer

I wouldn't know. I have not tried it with that motherboard. I would consult the hardware compatibility document for the motherboard.

Question 5

is this the right card for an acer aspire c655? (77412-4633)

Accepted Answer

Doesn't look like it has an m style hard drive slot.

Question 6

what type of nand flash memory is this? TLC? MLC? or maybe SLC?

Accepted Answer

TLC

Question 7

I was confused about the model. mine is an acer aspire 7741z 4633. Will this card fit? thanks.

Accepted Answer

I can't tell by searching online if your laptop has an m.2280 slot. The pictures almost look like it is an mSATA or M.2 2260. You would have to pop off the back cover to verify.

Question 8

Will this drive work with a PCIe 2.0 x1 adapter card? E.g., I/O Crest M.2 NGFF SDD + SATA III Port PCIe X1 Controller Card.

Accepted Answer

Not sure... I think there's need to be a M.2 slot on your Mobo

Question 9

hello is it compatible with acer aspire F15 F5-573G ?

Accepted Answer

According to the people on the Acer forum, yes your device is compatible. It is against NewEgg policy for me to post the link otherwise I would have provided it.
