I've done this many times. Try to find it new and if no luck, look for it used. Ive changed out the mainboard and 3/4 of the time I was able to recover most of the data.

details on this drive is "3 years limited" in the warranty and returns section it says 2 years parts 2 years labor, in reality i assume it is 90 days? because clearly newegg does not know what they are selling.
