Most retailers state:

Manufacturer Part # WD1002FBYS

And I am pretty sure the -nnnnnn suffix is the device "volume serial" number

Different retailers may use their own part numbering scheme. Sorry, I am not able to be more specific. I have never had any issues trying to order one using just the WD1002FBYS value in a search. That qualifies everything you need to state about the drive's "info."

I just got a drive that is out of Warranty? The drive looks used. The top of it is all scratched. Should I expect this kind of service from NewEgg now?

Question 4

Since my invoice says I have a 5 year warranty, but the drives were manufactured dec 2009, isn't that warranty expired?  one is even aug 2009.  How are these considered new with a 5 year warranty if they are out of warranty with WD?  I think the seller should have to list these as NOS (New Old Stock).  I trust WD drives, but no chance of a WD warranty, I think they will be returned and 0 stars for the seller.  SO SAD that newegg allows this to happen on their site, makes me wonder if i'll ever purchase from them again.  Thanks for nothing.
