Is this 7200 rpm?

No, it is only 5400. As other people have stated these are not refurbished. They are 3 - 5 years old and have thousands of in-use hours on them.

Question 2

How good is this refurbished hard drive compared to a brand new one? The price difference is a bit huge.

I bought 8 of these drives for a array.  Prior usage varied from 3000 to 17000 hrs powered on.  I've only had problems with 2 of them.  1st one was easily fixed by scanning the drive and remapping it had 2 bad sectors.  2nd just fell out of the array after 5 days, I haven't determined the cause.  Its back online now, might have been a seating issue.  We will se. So my out of pocket was $400 for 8 2 tb drives. Considering that a new drive would cost me $129 each considerable savings.  Also, I would note these are enterprise grade drives so they were designed to run 24/7 for 5 years (43000+ hrs) or more.  I expect they will last me a lot longer.

I recently bought a Netgear N900 Dual Band Gigabit Wireless Router with 3.5" Storage Bay (WNDR4700) here on Newegg and I was wondering if this Internal Hard Drive is the right one to fit into the router?

I do a repost an unanswered question about manufacturer warranty.

When I checked, it showed "no warranty"   ..  I've got one that my raid controller doesn't like and I'm trying to figure out next steps.

Is this a so called Newegg refurbished drive or is it used? Please do not answer, if you do not know what WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows is.

I bought one about 6 months ago?  Checking the smart data 29316 hours it has been powered on.  That's over three years.  Used.

Does this drive have the high load/unload cycle count problem (very short cycle time) the 2TB Green drives did?

I've only had this drive in my system for about a week now, but it has been a very solid performing drive so far. As far as I can tell, it doesn't have any of the issues the Green Turds suffer from. I would say these drives are very similar in performance to a WD Black. I hope this helps?
