i have multiple devices and i would like to know if i can charge all of them on this plug? i have 1 ipod next generation, 1 ipod touch, 1 samsung tablet, 1 ipad air 2 and a lg g4 verizon wireless phone?

Yes it will charge all five at once, but there are only 2 "supercharge" ports with 2.4A each available. Make sure your cables are rated and wired correctly to handle 2.4 A. Put your tablets on these.

The other three are rated 5V 1A only. As I recall, USB "high speed charge and data" is a misnomer: if the cable can move data the device won't take more than .5 amps. Things may have changed esp. in USB 3.0, up to 1A maybe, but older devices may benefit from a "charge only" cable.

The ipods probably wouldn't accept more that .5A anyway, but you may benefit from a charge-only cable for the LG.

BTW according to the math only 39W is available at the ports and it is rated 40W. So it's not possible to overload the unit. In theory,
