The description says that it will fit on the iphone 5s, but does anyone have actual conformation that it will fit it properly and not block anything with the home button?

It will fit properly. However I am not sure about the fingerprint scanner. May prevent the fingerprint scanner from working properly. The shield fits just great with iPhone 5.
