1) Do you have to plug your cell phone in or is it wireless?
2) Application is in an apartment building, if wireless do you have to enter code to access it, or can anyone jump on?

1) It is wireless. You do not need to plug your cell phone in. However, you are required to wire those three devices (booster, cradle antenna and desktop antenna). You need at least 20 feet apart between the placement of the booster and the cradle antenna in order for this to work. As for that desktop antenna, you will have strong signal within 10 feet of it. I purchased a stronger flat antenna to replace the desktop antenna, which increases the coverage area.

2) No code require. Any cell phone user within the boosted coverage area can take advantage of the boosted cell phone signal.

Question 2

I live in a 3 room apartment and continually lose my cell phone signal and have to go out onto my patio to stay connected. The problem is that other residents complain because they hear me talking and it bothers them. One guy is a day sleeper and he is really bothered by my talking. I received and make a lot of calls. My question is this - Does the Wilson Electronics Desktop Cell Phone Signal Booster give you a strong signal and keep you connected in your apartment so that you can get things done without constantly being disconnected?

Hey Dan, this model will not cover your apartment.  This is more for a single room/home office and it works great for a single room.  We have a floor that is, oddly, lacking cell signal and we picked a room for this to go into on that floor and it is where we handle any calls when it's the closest place to go.  Great product for what it is designed for, but it will not cover your whole apartment.  If you can live with picking a room for talking then you will be fine.  Additionally, they have great support.
