Yes.  It works best if you are standing about 6 feet in front of the transmitter.  Otherwise the signal falls off moderately.  Best to increase reception for a small room.  I purchased a second one for my dad because it works so well.

Will this allow 4 g data transmission via verizon carrirs?

Hi Bryan, I am with AT&T and this system handles the 4G with great performance. Very well pleased. Bought this system just for data transmission in my small office. The indoor antenna is directional, so you will have to find the sweet spot. In fact, going to add a second indoor antenna in a few weeks for another room. Had the system for 3 months with no issues, think u will be pleased with it. I am in a rural community and the closet tower is about 4 miles.  Darryl

A booster increases the strength of the signal. An amplifier increases the range or projection of the signal
