Pros: Absolutely blazes though ANYTHING I throw at it. Even Crysis at 1920x1200 4xAA and very high settings nets me 30-40FPS playable, not to mention the benchmarks of 40-50! This is truly the best video card I've ever owned and i started gaming when voodoo 2's in SLI were the way to go. Very worth the cost if your serious about your gaming and your wallet. Besides gaming, this card stays COOL and QUIET. Fan speed always stays under 30% at default, max load is in the low 70ºc, and it idles at 38-40ºc. This card only uses 27w at idle so its amazing the temps you can see. Two thumbs up to ATI/AMD on these cards. I've been an Nvidia user since the Geforce 2 days, and this card deserves all the praise I can give it!

Cons: Not a SINGLE one I can find! The price and availability, but that just goes to show how great the 5000 series are. And that I cant give it 10 stars instead of 5.

Overall Review: OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE coming from an 8800GTS 512 that was overclocked. I just couldnt game at 1900x1200 with my previous card and full details, but now on a 28" monitor, this card just screams to life with all the details you can imagine. I also renewed my faith in XFX. I previously purchased a 4890 here made by them, and it performed horribly. Turns out there were a lot of people with the same issues. I returned the 4890 and picked this up and i'll never look back. I can't even begin to imagine what the 5950 is like with the level of performance im seeing now.... O_o

Pros: Upgraded from a 4890 (also XFX). I also had a 4850x2. This card smokes both of them. I liked the 4890 more than the 4850x2 only because i'm a micro stutter snob and i perfer single GPU for the buttery smooth game play. To me, lower frame rates (but still abve 60 fps) are better than higher frame rates with periodic stutter due to crossfire or multi GPU solutions. This card is nice. 1920x1200 plays all my games supurbly. for all the benchmarkers out there, yes even Crysis Warhead. I didn't see frames drop below 35 and was usually in the 50FPS range with 4xAA with Enthusiast settings. Runs Dragon Age at 100 FPS steady and CoD:MW2 at even higher FPS. This card is a HUGE leap in ATI's technology. I have absolutely no loyalty to ATI or NVidia, I just get the best bang for the buck (as any educated consumer should). FYI, this is THE bang for your buck.

Cons: Nothing to judge it against (DX11 wise) or DX11 games to play with. No Competition to drive down prices.

Overall Review: Being supported with a i920 @ 3.8 ghz and 6gigs OCZ 1600 gold on an Asus Rampage II GENE MB.

Pros: Bought this to replace my old Nvidea 9800GTX+, and what can i say, it is like night and day in every area. This card is a full 2 inches shorter than the 9800GTX+, and it out performs it in every area, including temps and noise. I ran the 9800 at 100% fan speed all the time to keep temps around 47c at idle, and forget about gaming, with Crysis, it would shoot up to 61c or more. This card stays at 40c with the fan set at 25% idle or browsing the internet etc, and never gets over 52c on crysis at high settings with 4X AA, and fan speed set to 50%. It is a bit louder but still nowhere close to the old card. It has handled everything I have thrown at it and has not given me a single regret. I had no problems with Downloading the games bundled with it either went very smooth. (I bought it when the Egg was throwing in three other games for free).

Cons: None at all. Catalyst Control Center runs like a dream, and has got me buying a third monitor to try eyefinity.

Overall Review: I debated as to whether or not to spend the extra $50 for the 5870, and decided to go this route and will most likely end up with a 6000 series card next year. I have been an Nvidea guy for years, but as of late there is no comparing price/performance between them and ATI, ATI is hands down better and more affordable, and they just run cooler.

Pros: -Amazing card, high settings on most games, -Frame drop on highest settings for L4D2. -Lifetime warranty -Hit 15k 3dmark vantage with 800/1760 clock settings @ stock voltage

Cons: None, as long as you perform your research on this type of upgrade before purchasing. Make sure you have great air flow in your case; the fan on this bad boy is like a hurricane, ONLY when going to full load of fan

Overall Review: Dirt-2 just has an immense amount of issues, probably why they bundled with ATI for their sales. Need to install GFWL and then it will not accept key provided, therefore cannot save games. Launching issues, ATI allready has a performance fix out, just was looking forward to a game thats been difficult to get running...

Pros: So far the card plows through any game(MW2, E:TW,Mass Effect 2, FO3) I put in front of it. Very pleased, quite an improvement from my old 8800 GTS. I was worried about the reputation of ATI drivers, but I haven't had any problems.

Cons: I guess it's *kinda* big...but I was hoping for something super-big, you know? Also, it took longer than I expected for my parts to arrive. But I'll let that pass, as the area suffered through the biggest snowfall on record at the time.

Overall Review: Part of a new build to replace my old one following a apartment complex maintenance guy-induced cataclysmic power failure. Pros: Excellent performance and stability - runs cool - low power consumption for what it delivers, easy to install - not as ridiculously enormous as other high-performance cards currently on the market - double-lifetime warranty through the manufacturer - includes DiRT 2 (via Steam voucher), great game I had a GeForce 280 GTX that overheated and died on me, and after reading the hardware review for this card on Bit-Tech, I decided to try it. It's my first ATI card I've ever owned, and it's already left quite a positive impression on me. It easily outperforms the 280, and almost just as importantly, it runs *significantly* cooler, even under stress. Performance is always important with a graphics card, but if stability and reliability are also factors for you when making large hardware purchases, you can't go wrong with this one.

Cons: Minor driver-related graphics issues with some games - since it's ATI, no hardware PhysX support (if that happens to be important to you) As always with ATI, the hardware is generally excellent, but the software can be lacking. The drivers have been totally stable for me on all my games, and the card delivers excellent visual quality overall, but slight visual anomalies can occur in certain instances. Fallout 3 has never looked better for me, but Dragon Age can exhibit some blocky shadows here and there. Other than that I haven't had any issues with it, and I'm confident that as the drivers mature, these minor problems will be eliminated.

Overall Review: As I stated before, I used to be loyal only to Nvidia, but if ATI continues to produce cards as good as this one, I could be upgrading to them much more often. Games that would give the GeForce 280 a panic attack the Radeon 5850 handles with ease, and while running much cooler. Sure there are faster cards on the market, but this one offers the best combination of performance AND stability that I've seen in a long time.

Pros: There was some concern about this working with MythTV and linux. I did have to install the proprietary ATI drivers and tweak some playback settings in MythTV, but I'm able to watch high-def without and CPU utilization and little heat from the card.

Cons: You want a big case for this. It extends to the end of the mother board and most cases don't give much room for drive installation.

Overall Review: I'm excited to get some serious games playing on linux. All the benchmarks I've run show this doubling performance over my last comparable nvidia card.

Overall Review: I wrote a review about a week or so ago giving this card 4 eggs, and I have since looked into some things and fixed a lot of issues I was having. I downloaded MSI Afterburner to keep my temps under control, used to get over 86 degrees, now I dont break 60 degrees with fan only at 46% and its still silent. and I already had the 9.12 drivers when I wrote my last review, I'm still having HDMI Audio buzz issues not a huge deal though. I found out that the CCC for 9.12 came with settings set to use the CCC instead of application settings and was set to use all quality such as that 24x smooth AA which was my main issue for having low frame rates in my games...but by low i still mean over 30 so really impressive but i turned that off and now I can play games like Crysis completely maxed out at around 35fps. Just thought it deserved more then 4 eggs since its just driver issues for me.
