Pros: *First Off Im not a Fanboy of anything, my money goes to the best product and thats it. I own both mid to high end Nvidia and ATI cards. I own a Nvidia BFG 9800GTX, 260GTXm, ATI 9800XT, HD4650, and 2 XFX 5970 Black Edition Video Cards. No Offence but dont listen to the two other posts below saying they were dissapointed and saying that their Nvidia 9800GTX runs better, Thats either a faulty card or they dont know what they are doing, because just 1 ATI 5970 at Stock speeds alone spanks a 9800GTX even running in SLI. I can say that because last month I finished a build for a friend with 2 Nvidia 250GTS runing SLI (250 is the same as a 9800GTX) Dont get me wrong the 9800GTX is a monster card that can run almost all games a high settings with great framerates. But its no comparison to a 5970. I have not tried Crysis yet but the games I do have I have not found a game that I was not able to run at Ultra Settings at 1900 x 1200 without any of them dropping 60fps.

Cons: No Video Card is Perfect, not even this expensive piece of beauty. - This thing runs hot!!! (But thats expected and obvious) - Like many ATI Sometimes the Drivers need work. - Size of the Card - Expensive - NO DIRT 2 =*0( - NO Free Game for that matter - NO Soup Fo you!! This is an on the side con but this card doesnt do great at lower settings and lower resolution for some reason (But who the heck wants to play their games at low settings) But when I set my settings to Ultra high and at the highest resolution my monitor can handle these cards ran like nothings bothering it.

I have two 5970 cards because I ate two bowls of Lucky Charms that morning. =0) Yes this card will run anything at Ultra Settings, search youtube you will see Modern Warfare 2 reach as high as 800fps Not Kidding!

Pros: Running dual XFX HD5970 BE on my EVGA Classified E760 with I7 980x. They are capable of running cool even overclocked with proper case cooling. Depending on the game usually no more than 65c and with BFBC2 quadfire works so well the GPUs never exceed 45c with max settings at stock clocks. I however, run my fans on manual speed at 80% when gaming. It would seem you no longer would be required to flash the BIOS on these anymore since my fan control was unlocked out of the box. Got 48,000 3dMark Vantage GPU score with 2 of these badboys. Overclocked to 925 core and 5ghz RAM. You'll need the XFX overvolt tool to hit those speeds and you can download it once you register your card. Which you should do immediately if you want access to the lifetime warranty. Which XFX will honor. They have top of the line support. All games maxed, period. At like 200 FPS. Will max Crysis, Metro 2033 with 4xAA enabled, Stalker CoP, AvP and anything else that supports Crossfire.

Cons: Of course, not all games support Quadfire. MW2 doesn't. The 3rd and 4th GPU will go to sleep while you play that game and others, such as Blur. Pretty much any DX11 game will work though. They don't come with a long 10cm Crossfire bridge, neither do the X58 boards in most cases to run in slots 1 and 2. Which are the x16 slots on most boards. So order one ahead of time or with it. Newegg doesn't seem to carry them. You can run it on an X58 board in slot 1 and 3 but they just cook too badly. Mine shut off from heat in less than an hour like that with no overclocks and manual fan speed at 100%. So space them properly. I am running an Intel I7 980x at 4.3 ghz and I'm still bottlenecking these 2 cards. Also running 2ghz RAM. I must definitley suggest that you run more than 6gb of RAM if you want quadfire because I had to set my memory low gap to 3GB to run games which doesn't leave you enough RAM in most cases to run games like Stalker CoP, AvP or any other high RAM consumer.

Overall Review: These things do suck up the juice. I have a Cooler Master 1250 watt 80+, sweet PSU, supplies plenty of juice but wouldn't try to run 2 without at least 1000 watts. These 2 in quadfire really bring out the quality in any game that supports it. It was truly breathtaking in DX11 games. Didn't think it would be a huge difference but it was. I recommend uninstalling all ATI software before you install the 2nd card and then reinstall it once you've got it in. I couldn't adjust clock speeds until I did that. A Crossfire X 5970 setup is only for the hardcore. You really only need 1. But, it will give you obscene amounts of power if you ever need it, and I wanted to get another one before they stopped selling them. Which in my experience, always happens. It's their way of forcing you to get the next generations card if you want more performance.

Pros: Excellent XFX packaging, warranty, & customer service. A truly massive and impressive looking card. You can feel the quality of assembly when you hold this thing. It dwarfs the 4870x2 that it replaced. So far performance has been excellent despite immature driver support. GTA IV @ 1920 X 1200 all settings maxed = 70 fps Crysis Warehead in eyefinity mode @ 5760 X 1200 (3 24" monitors) all settings @ gamer no AA = 30 FPS These results are all at default settings, I have not O.C. this thing at all. I'm sure that performance will increase even more as drivers become better. Last but not least, the cool factor of owning the worlds most expensive & highest performing graphics card!

Cons: Immature driver support, will not fit in many smaller cases (including many mid towers). If your currently running a 4800 or 5800 series card and its a tight fit, this one might not make it.

Overall Review: Was trying for almost a month to find a 5970 in stock @ the egg and actually purchased this on my iphone pulled over on the side of the road after I refreshed the page and saw these in stock while sitting @ a red light! lol Bottom line, if you have the cash don't hesitate. This is one awesome card. Pros: This card is from XFX so it's got the double lifetime warranty if you register it right away. XFX has incredible support and they will honor your warranty. I've had them replace 2 GTX 280s for me in the past. This card will run cool if you use manual fan speed control. Even with high overclocks. It comes with the free XFX overvolt tool via download from their website once you've registered. Sharp looking card with graphics on the bottom side. The red ATI Radeon logo glows nicely with my UV lights and matches my Classified mobo. Excellent overclocker. With minimal voltage increase on the core, only .1v, I was able to take it from 725mhz to 925 mhz. I ran it at 985mhz but had artifacts so I dropped it back and it's stable and running cool. Got the RAM to 4.8ghz, stock 5870 speed without any voltage increase. The XFX overvolt tool allows for voltage adjustments on the RAM too. Very nicely packaged as with all high end XFX products.

Cons: Card is huge! Only a con if you have a small case. The fan is really loud at high speeds. Say above 50%, 30% is auto. The worst thing I have encountered is this card needed a BIOS flash in order to allow for manual fan speed control. It was easy, instructions are obtainable from the XFX support section, but shouldn't have been necessary. Uses up tons of wattage so have a decent PSU if you plan to exceed 300 watts, or in other words attain high overclocks with voltage increase. I would recommend a 1000 watt PSU with an 80+ rating just to be safe. That's assuming that only people with high end machines will be purchasing this card. Nothing too bad to make it not worth getting.

Overall Review: The warranty alone makes the card the best choice of all the ATI manufacturers. It overclocks extremely well and runs cool. I'm getting another one for Quad Fire. DX11 is awesome, BFBC2 sees much more debris when destroying buildings and other stuff. More foliage, mostly grass, and better shaders on some things. I got this to replace a 3 way SLI GTX 280 set up and I expected it to be a bit slower than that set up but truth is I actually almost get the same performance on most games. Splinter Cell Conviction runs better, BFBC2 runs better, MW2 doesn't and Metro 2033 looks absolutely amazing with tesselation. This card won't max that game out, but it comes close. My 3 way set up wouldn't max that game either. It gets 5 eggs for being awesome. Thanks XFX, you make playing for the red worth while.

Overall Review: XFX has a lifetime warranty on this card. That's more than enough reason not to buy any other brand of ATI. I've long been an NVIDIA BFG buyer and XFX is the next best thing in my eyes

Cons: Wow... Let me start by saying it took XFX 7 months to get me a card that worked- 2 RMAs during that time, all the while telling me it was my system- So I built a second system... Same problems. Built a rig for a friend identical to mine, his worked mine didn't- I told them all this and it was still my system that was wrong. I downloaded everything they asked I re loaded windows several times, xfx drivers, tried many different combos of components- nothing- they send me another, same problems, I go through the whole ordeal again and again- I don't know how many hours I wasted that I'll never get back- Double Life Time warranty my _ _ _. They would not give me money back and the only thing they will send you is a refurb! Someone elses problem card! 7 MONTHS MAN! REALLY?! REALLY?! The last card I recieved- I reluctantly hooked it up and what do ya know, it worked. So I was right all along, cuz I used the same rig I had at the start.

Overall Review: I really hate when people say they'll never buy a product from a certain company in a review and its usually for nothing- so petty, (and the company doesn't really care as they already have your money) but in this case I can say I will never purchase XFX products again and anyone who ever asked my opinion on the matter will get both barrels of disgust from me and advise to go with another brand- also newegg should let you do zero stars.

Pros: This thing is a total beast. It chews through any game I own. It is quite capable of doing serious damage @ stock clock speeds. However, once overclocked - it completely unleashes it's carnal prowess. I used the XFX Overvolt tool at first. It got me to 900/1200 (although not a 100% stable 100% of the time; even with it's highest voltage of 1.162). I felt I needed more voltage, so I turned to MSI AfterBurner (version 1.40). This allowed me to hit core clocks of 950, 960, & 980, (however voltages required 1.2+). I am very pleased with this Über purchase. I am bottle necking it big time with my 965 @ 4GHz on an 870 board.

Cons: I purchased it back in September 2010 & it was a bit unstable. I returned it to NewEgg & received my RMA in October. Never looked back. Thanks you EggMan!

Overall Review: I have this card & my CPU on the same loop powered by an MCP655 w/ EK-DX5 top, triple 120 RAD & an EK Block. My highest temps during long & heavy gaming sessions barely start touching 60C @ my current 960/1250/1.2v.

Pros: This is the monster everything says it is. No doubt about it. It crushes everything I own with ease. It is the card to have if you got the money for it. It's totally worth it.

Cons: I'd have to say, for the average person, it has to be the actual size of the card and the price,as you all know. It's HUGE and won't fit in most mid-towers WITHOUT modification. It's not a problem for me because I own the HAF 932 Full Tower and it fits with no problems.

Overall Review: You get what you pay for. This thing will be running everything for a long time to come. No worries here at all.
