Double Dissipation technology combined with Ghost thermal technology and HydroCell thermal solution makes the XFX Radeon HD 7950 Black Edition graphics card deliver higher graphics performance at low temperature level. With the HD 7900 graphics card, XFX introduces XFACTOR, a collection of features and technologies that include XFX’s exclusive designs and standards with the highest quality and innovation to ensure that even the most demanding gamers get the best from their graphics cards.
The AMD Radeon HD 7950 graphics processor harnesses the visionary GCN Architecture. As the world’s first 28nm GPU, this chip is primed to enable astonishing performance and breathtaking image quality, making it the only solution for gamers who expect the best.
Double dissipation with Ghost and HydroCellGhost Thermal technology is the optimal thermal design that allows air to pass through the heatsink directly to the PCB and core components. This exclusive design allows fan speeds to be kept lower, while allowing the heat to dissipate evenly through the card without excess noise. XFX’s exclusive Ghost Thermal design is complimented by its highly efficient HydroCell thermal solution which is a vapor chamber based on the same principles as heat-pipe technology, which uses a recirculation process and wick system for vaporization. All of this combined with XFX’s award-winning Double Dissipation dual-fan design makes it one of the coolest and quietest cards on the market while simultaneously increasing overall graphics card performance.
Duratec Professional Grade technologyXFX introduces Duratec Professional Grade technology which represents XFX high standard for component quality. Graphics cards featuring Duratec standards offer high quality components such as 2oz Copper PCB, Solid Capacitors, Ferrite Iron Core Choke, IP-5X Certified Dust Free Fans, XFX’s exclusive bracket design for greater airflow and other quality performance enhancing components.

Unlocking game-dominating power, AMD CrossFire technology, coupled with native support for PCI Express 3.0, will allow for unprecedented bandwidth in TriFire and QuadFire configurations.
Pros: Performance: This thing will run anything, max settings, 1080P+. Period. Overclocking: Running at 1.1GHz GPU & 1575MHz Mem. (Via AMD Overdrive) Power/Heat: Draws less power and produces less heat than the previous generation 6950 . Comparison: Cheaper than the GTX 680 / 7970. Runs on par with the 7970, easily, when overclocked. Handles HD+ multi-displays (Eyefinity) better then the GTX 680 at HD+ resolutions and at higher settings in many cases (more VRAM). It rips apart it's previous generation counterparts. Cons: None. This card is powerful, can be overclocked to perform near and on par to the 7970 easily, and with the recent price drops is a steal. I paid full day one price for mine, and extra to have it shipped to me next day. I would happily do it again, it was worth every penny then, and it's an even more incredible deal now. Short of the day 1 driver problems that are common, I have had no other issues with this card at all. The driver issues I had on day 1, are no longer present. Running 12.4 drivers. Shut off Fraps, and I dare anyone to tell the difference in performance between this card and the GTX 680 or a 7970. Even on a single display. Not going to happen. This card is amazing for the price. FYI: I am not ripping on the GTX 680, it's a fantastic product. I am simply using it as a comparison since I have access to one and I have been very impressed how well this card held up to it, and even beat it in a few cases during my testing.
Overall Review: Sadly, I got mine via a different retailer, as Newegg did not have any available. I ordered day 1 and had it shipped to me next day air. Though I much prefer Newegg, the bright side is, I have been using this card for over 2 months now and can write a much more informed review here on the Egg. I am an avid gamer, I play all of the latest and greatest titles out there. Battlefield 3, Need For Speed The Run, Skyrim, Arkham City, Crysis 2 DX11 HD, Saints Row 3 DX11, and more. I like to max them all out. That being said. I recently starting running Eyefinity 3x displays. This card handles everything I throw at it and just keeps on going. Zero frame lag, anywhere. I have compared my card directly to a friends new GTX 680. This 7950 does better in games like BF3 in Eyefinity, and is within single digit frames of the GTX 680 in many other cases. Simply amazing. I also run overclocked as mentioned above, I have been running those numbers for over a month, stable & not a single is
