Great card considering it's age 4/7/2019 11:10:05 AM

Pros: Great performance compared to even modern cards. Can get them for roughly $100 on some on-line auction sites (who's name I shall not mention, but it rhymes with eebhay) if you're lucky.

Cons: Can be noisy when the fan spins up under load, but that's what you get with a blower style cooler. I usually have headphones on though so it's not a problem.

Overall Review: I'm running two of these in crossfire and they look good in the system and perform great for what I ask of them. I'm not a competitive FPS gamer or anything, but they run games that I want to run at all settings maxed without flaw like GTA-V, Elite Dangerous, Forza, and a couple others but those are probably the most demanding.

Buy something else 1/2/2019 4:03:34 PM

Pros: Good performance for money

Cons: Always had issues with it. I bought this card a few months after the 480 was launched. Up until recently, when windows booted up from sleep mode you would just get a static screen for your display. Most of the time unplugging the monitor would kick it back on but not always. It was a minor issue that I thought would be fixed with updates in the future (heard the 480 and 470 had some issues when first launched / needed to wait for a few updates for the kinks to get worked out ). But it's never gone away......... Now it's been freezing up ( probably once a day ) when playing a game such as diablo 3......

First XFX card I've ever bought and needless to say will not be getting another one. Didn't have any issues with the previous graphics card I had with my current setup.

Runs hot, but still pretty awesome 11/14/2017 8:45:58 PM

Pros: Runs 60fps 1080@60hz high settings for pretty much anything I throw at it. 40-50fps in ARK on high.

Cons: Runs hot.

Overall Review: Can adjust fan profile in Radeon WattMan to keep it quiet or cool, pick one. Maxing it out at 2500 rpm leaves it inaudible but the GPU holds steady at 85c under load.

Great card 10/4/2017 12:55:02 PM

Pros: Runs without a single hiccup in frame rates. Quiet unlike most Hamsterwheel fan designs.

Cons: Me and my brother both purchased these cards at the same time. I chose to go with a Corsair(New Build)AX860 PSU and he went with a 550w Dell PSU that was in his XPS 8700 system. Three PSUs later his card wasn't being cooperative at all. He installed a Corsair TX650w PSU and still nothing. He swapped his card over to my new system and it ran like a champ. All in all I believe that the required Wattage in the spec sheet was a touch low. I went overkill and am glad I did. He now has a EVGA 850 G3 PSU on the way, so he can get his card to work. He's going from a XFX 5770 Radeon HD to this card and I believe it will make him happy.
However he hasn't received his rebate or his game and we both applied for it around the same time. I got both and he got neither. These cards are amazing so my rating will reflect that, but the Rebate process is severely lacking. Your Rebate crew is MEH.

Overall Review: If you purchase during rebate season, please note that there is a good chance you will get air and a lot of "we're sorry" replies sent to your email. I suggest simply including the rebate to the end price and be done with it. Because you're gonna run a lot of customers off if you have to rely on a poor rebate company to do your bidding.

Fast and Beautiful, Huge Upgrade 8/12/2017 1:16:30 PM

Pros: I had an XFX Radeon with 2 Gigs before this and WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I can play Overwatch and DOOM on 4K resolution at 70 FPS and I can notice details in the game that I didn't know existed before.

Cons: This thing gets hot. Temps reached 82 degrees Celsius yesterday night. Not sure if I did something wrong.

Not running stable 6/8/2017 8:18:41 AM

Pros: - backplate
- low energy draw
- only needs a 6-pin to power

Cons: - runs hot (~80 degree C) on load
- unstable; goes to white-screen after running for ~10-20 minutes on load

Overall Review: - Not sure if I got a bad batch, driver issues, or something else. Troubleshooting. Will change the score if I can ever get it stably running.

One works OK the other doesn't. 6/6/2017 9:14:41 PM

Pros: I Bought two.
One works great for the price, absolutely no reason to cry, nice power drop from the 290x.

Cons: The other card locks up after ten minutes of gaming in exactly the same machine. So one card works perfectly the other card not at all, there is no in between here. The heavy artifacting before crash pretty much says it all.

Just using them one at a time, not in Crossfire. One was supposed to be an upgrade for the kids R9 270.

I'd leave 2.5 eggs to be fair since it's exactly a half way perfect acquisition but that's not an option. XFX support is slow and so far just scripted canned responses. Guess I'll keep exchanging once a day email while they tell me it must be power supply, dirty RAM slots on the MOBO and possibly my OS even though it's twin brother is perfectly content and gaming as was the 290x before it.

Overall Review: Everything is great until you need support. Then you realize that having timely, reasonable support is what makes a significant difference in the brands.

Nice upgrade 5/12/2017 10:34:32 AM

Pros: It was a great and inexpensive upgrade from my 7970 GHz edition which just passed away.

Cons: Got a little warm at times during heavy gaming until I bought an EK block for it, now it never goes over 50C even during the most intensive gaming.

Overall Review: Great card if like me you're on a budget
