Is a XFX Radeon RX 580 better than Radeon RX 480?

I have been using  my RX 580 for a while now (mostly gaming) and it has performed very well so far. I had a RX 470 Nitro which also performed well be died after a year of use (lightening strike near my home). The 580 is smoother, movies/games look better and sharper than before. I would recommend this card to anyone.

Yes it does, I'm running windows 64 ultimate with 0 problems with the drivers installed!

What is the max power draw of this specific card? The specs only say that a 550w PSU is recommended, but that's pretty vague as the system's other components could vary greatly

I replaces this with a Vega 56, but I'll tell you how i'm using it now.
Its in a Dell T30 server which has a tiny 365W powersupply. It has nothing in it except an SSD and I use it as my main system.  It games fine, but I have had a few instances where it just shut down.  I'm positive it is the tiny powersupply.
I have also played around with cryptocurrency.  It mines Ethereum on its own, but it shuts down if I mine Ethereum and SiaCoin at the same time.  Again I'm positive its the tiny powersupply.

I'm considering buying this graphics card but I have one question. Will this support PCI Express 3.0 16x slot? I checked all over and got no answers.

This card connects to a PCIe X16 slot.  It defaults to use PCIe gen3 X16.  It cannot run gen4 speeds, but a PCIe gen4 slot is backward compatible with PCI gen3.  If you plug this into an X16 slot that only has the length of an X16 connection but is actually only X8 or X4 by the way that connector is wired (meaning most MBs have only one slot that actually runs X16 even though there may be 2 or 3 slots that physically look like X16 slots), then this GPU will run in those modes.

So yes, if you plug this into a PCIe gen3 slot which is wired to be X16, it will run in that mode, as long as you don't have other adapters plugged into the other slots.  In that case you have to look at what the modes are for your specific MB.

Why does this say "support" video card? is it meant to by a second GPU? I was looking to use this as a solo GPU.

it's "crossfire support", as in this card is capable of supporting the crossfire (two video cards at the same time!) feature (you must have two cards for this, obviously)

was going to buy this but it states it is a PCI Express 3.0 but my Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 requires a PCI 3.0 x 16.  Which of the RX 580 cards are compatible?  Thanks.

That is what I'm using and it is plug and play with MINT 18.2 and Windows 10. XFX has the best cooling solution and 100% FIVE STAR reviews. If you only use the PCIe x16 1 (the beige x16 slots) the card runs at Gen 2x16.
