Yes, you can. Usually, it will work OK in that setting, but please be aware of some limitations. Glare from the sun on the window pane may affect the camera's view. At night, the camera's nigh-vision lights may also cause glare because the infrared light reflects back off of the window pane. Experiment to find the best position and downward angle of the camera to avoid or minimise these effects.
Ideally, an outdoor camera provides the best result for monitoring everything outside the house. The challenge then becomes:
1. Wiring (or battery recharging).
2. Is the wi-fi reception from the camera strong enough and stable enough to be reliable all the time?
