Do you have to buy a separate outdoor antenna?

No, everything comes with it and installation is simple. It took me from 1-2 bars to 4-5. I am in a rural setting and this product did exactly what it claimed, boosted my signal. I have not dropped any calls since installing and am quite happy with it.

I do not know if it works globally, but paperworks stated it covers all U.S. Based providers. It took me from one bar inside a metallic building to 4 bars signal strength. Happy with performance so far in my rural  setting. - Mike
