do I have to use the Lan cord if my computer is wifi Computer the connects to the internet Via my home WIFI. I have windows 8 a 64 Bit running system this Camera ?

You need to use a cat (LAN) cable on initial setup.  Your router should give it an IP address on the LAN with which you can use to login to the admin console (remember to use IP_addr:Port_number) through your browser.  Then you can setup the camera to run on WIFI by giving it your wifi network's credentials.  It will restart and connect wirelessly if all goes well you can disconnect the cable and just use wireless.

FYI, I ran into a weird issue with the WIFI credentials, the password had to be be less than 12 character I think.  There is a blog post somewhere online, I am glad I found it as I was gettting frustrated.  As soon as I shortened the password it worked.  I was watching the router log so I knew it was an auth issue.

The camera's been great ever since.

Question 2

Okay, i jave a problem....how do you actually start recording, ive had mine for a few days now, and nowhere in the instructions does it specify how to record? is it automaitc?

try going into settings or device management, then go to Alarm Service Settings. check motion  detection and set sensitivity to a low number. usually it will take 1-6 photos and send to an email or FTP address for each motion detection. Video will automatically record to your computer HDD when triggered (i think) only when you have the video/web page up on your computer screen.

What size SD card does the cm-I11123BK plug and play security camera use?

I am not aware that this uses an SD card at all.
This is a wireless/wired Pan Tilt Network camera. There are no slots for SD.
