Is this wireless?

Yes & No.
Yes, the system interfaces with your home wireless system. The good thing about that is, You can monitor your home surveillance remotely.
No, each camera has a wired connection to the base. Depending on the size of your home, You may need more wire.
Caveat: the system does not come with memory. That must be purchased separately if you want to record your surveillance.

Can you monitor the cameras on a cell phone and a tablet ?

I have a Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Tab 3 and I can monitor using both. However you cannot download the software from the play store for the tablet as it says that the software is not compatible with a tablet. A work around that is lookup the software number that you download on your phone and manually download it onto the tablet and install it that way. It's what I did.

What size HDD will fit it 3.5 or 2.5 and is it Sata?

The hard drive should be sata and both 3.5 and 2.5 will fit just fine.
I strongly suggest getting a drive specifically designed for security cameras if you want the drive to last very long.

can be viewed remotely?

Only if you are connected to the same modem/ wifi that the cameras are on, so that means you need to be some what in the vicinity.

No audio out of the box. You have to purchase microphones separately.

700TVL is not the best image. Faces are barely recognizable 15-20 feet from the camera. We spent the extra money on a true 720p system for our other business and are MUCH happier with the quality. The true 720p footage is actually usable by our local police; the 700TVL is not!

We have had two of these cameras outside for two hot, rainy summers and one very cold winter (1.5 yrs.)without any problems. Don't forget to waterproof your connections!

Can I add wireless cameras to this DVR?

The only camera input on this unit is BNC. I would say NO to your question. If your wireless cameras are IP based you would not need the DVR to view them anyway. I was surprised by the good picture quality of the cameras in this system. Keep in mind that this system does not have a hard drive. I always recommend Western Digital Purple drive this type of system.

Hello, could you please, tell me if this unite will work in Russia where there is 220v voltage and not 120v?

It uses standard 12v connectors (5.5mm +Center) to power both the DVR (3A) and cameras (Qty 2 - 1.5A).  The power supplies (transformers) that come with the unit are 120v inputs.  However you can either use a converter or use your own transformers.  
     2 x 12V/1500mA Power Supply for Cameras
     1 x 12V 3A DC Power Supply for DVR

This is a great unit especially if you can pick it up on sale (I got it for jUS$170)  There is also a version with the same DVR but only 4 cams for around jUS$120 on sale.  It works NTSC or PAL (I actually use one of my ZMODOs with PAL cams for better resolution.

It comes without a Hard Drive.  You need to use video rated drives or at least NAS drives.  I've been using WD Red NAS Drives for a couple years day and night with no problems.  It take up to a 4 TB drive.

Can you view what the cameras are seeing without recording at the same time?

Kinda a different question as one of the purpose of these is to provide a hard copy of activity. The recoring doesn't change anything they you see only that there is a small "R" in the corner of the picture. However, You can choose which channels to record and when set not to record, you still see them both on the local monitor and the remote viewer. So I guess if you set them all to not record you would still see them.

how easy is it to inatall?

These DVRs are very east to install.  The hardest part of the installation is pulling the wires wherever you need them.  I have installed about 8 to 10 of these and with installing 2 cameras for each location, I can have the whole thing up, running, and configured in about 2 hours.  To set up for a quick bench test is as fast and easy as setting up a PC.

They change the packages often. If the description says "No HDD" then no. If you look in the specs tab and it lists the hard drive capacity then yes
