Pros: durable lock, looks good, Fast, USB3,

Cons: unknown

Overall Review: Very fast and very durable.. its not metal but it is great for carrying in a pocket or a purse. Plastic construction is strong and well made.

Pros: Retractable.
It Works.
Speeds I've come to expect from ADATA drives.
Used this for music storage in my car as access times were too slow through a USB HDD.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Love ADATA flash drives, especially this one for $37.39 shipped!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value for the Performance

Pros: Its performance at its price point when it goes on sale makes this unit a great value. [See 'Other thoughts' for my bench results.]

The slider has good resistance—not loose, not too stiff, but just enough to keep it in place.

ADATA offers a lifetime warranty. I don't know if registering the product is necessary, but I did anyway since I own several other ADATA products and have an account with them already.

It has a hole for a lanyard or thin keyring.

Cons: The body's plastic construction feels cheap to me. I feel a very, very slight flex to the body when I slide the USB plug out. I've felt better plastic on cheap PNY USB 2.0 flash drives.

This is likely related to the body construction, but the unit does warm up a little when being continuously accessed. I don't consider this a huge or largely significant con, but some might. So far, it hasn't felt like it's near overheating.

Personal con: Aesthetically, I thought the drive's body was black except for the slider and the "lip" around the USB plug. However, the bottom (i.e. the side opposite the thumb slider which is not presented in any pictures) is all blue. Just not my taste, especially with this kind of blue.

Overall Review: This drive comes formatted as FAT32 by default. As FAT32, there are 58.8GB available. For information's sake, as exFAT, there are 58.8GB available, and as NTFS, there are 58.7GB available. For my personal purposes, I'm going to be using exFAT.

First thing I did was bench it with CrystalDiskMark when I received the package. See below for results in different formats.

5 out of 5 eggsgood speed

Pros: Ran the 64gb flash drive using ATTO benchmark. On usb2 port it did 3Mb/sec write and 5Mb/sec read for small 2k file and 29MB/sec write and 35MB/sec read on 2mb file.

On usb3 port 20MB/sec write and 22MB/sec read on small 2k file and 92MB/sec write with 110MB/sec read on larger 2mb file.

Results I can live with to stuff it full of large video files.

Cons: none so far!

Overall Review: Hope it lasts & I'm pleased with performance and price AR.

4 out of 5 eggsFor $6.99 - This Flash Drive has good capacity and reasonable performance

Pros: $.11 per GB is a heck of a deal.

I have no problem with the formatted capacity. Many people take issue with this in their reviews, not fully understanding how the drive capacity is determined by the Computer's OS. Windows OS interprets 1 GB as 1,024 MB, not 1,000 MB. This accounts for the variance. And then you have the system overhead in the formatted File System. This applies to all storage media. You will never buy a storage device that will have the advertised size after formatting.

Anyways. The drive works great. Here are my benchmark results. I do not know how to post a screenshot on Newegg's review page, so I'll just use plain text.

Here is the built in Command Line winsat results in Windows 10:

UV128
winsat disk -drive f
>Disk Random 16.0 Read 14.31 MB/s
>Disk Sequential 64.0 Read 129.44 MB/s
>Disk Sequential 64.0 Write 20.88 MB/s
>Average Read Time with Sequential Writes 7.798 ms
>Average Read Time with Random Writes 6.013 ms
>Total Run Time 00:01:04.61

Here is a real world benchmark of transferring a single large file from the Desktop to Flash Drive:

Copy 1.5GB (1610612736 bytes) file from the Desktop to Drive
File transfer time = 48 seconds
Write: 256.000 Mbps | 32 MB/s

*This test result was actually 15% faster than my ADATA UV150

Cons: Slow shipping. I have bought many products from Newegg over the years using the free shipping option and they seem to be consistently slow specifically regarding the processing/packaging time before the item actually ships. The other shipping options that offer faster delivery can double or triple the price of your order. That's unacceptable. I think they could do better in this area by providing more affordable options. Or simply improving the efficiency of whatever their process is to in preparing the order for shipment. 8 or 9 days to receive your item is a bit of an inconvenience, when you're use to free same day or two day shipping from other merchants. The only saving grace here is no tax.

Overall Review: I would, however, recommend this product as Newegg promo deals are hard to beat price wise. At the time I purchased this drive on Newegg, it was the cheapest price I could find. And the product was new in the blister pack and not a so called "fake" drive. All the products I've received from Newegg have been as advertised. I never use any other option than shipped and sold from Newegg. I never buy from "other" sellers.

5 out of 5 eggsGood product, just ordered another!

Pros: Works great, faster transfers than some other brands. I have been using this drive daily since it arrived, and no problems.

Cons: None

Overall Review: I wonder if some of the failures that other reviewers have had is because of improperly removing the drive? If a flash drive is removed while being read from or written to, it can be damaged or data can be corrupted. In both Windows and Linux there is a proper way to remove (eject) the flash drive. I have been using Adata flash drives for years with no failures whatsoever.

2 out of 5 eggs64GB version is extremely slow

Cons: I own a few of the 16GB version. They run great. The 64GB version I bought is so much worse. I use it as a boot device for an embedded system. It ran so slow that the system finally refused to boot.

Overall Review: The 16GB version is great, but stay away from the 64GB version. It's a shame that ADATA gives the same brand name to two different qualities of NAND. I bought the 64GB version expecting the same level of performance as the 16GB version.

Cons: Was not Recognized by Windows 10 Pro 64 bit. Reached out to Customer Service but no reply and it's been a week. Not worth sending back as I paid about $7. for it. Get what you pay for...

Overall Review: I've never heard of or used an ADATA USB Flash Drive. Both of My Kingston 2.0 USB Drives work Perfect and they are over five years old. Granted I don't use them that often, but I can count on them if I need them. See ya ADATA.

Cons: The device failed after 48 days. Received on July 28 2017 and starting September 14, 2017, it would not work properly and worked for only a few minutes at a time. Sometimes it would report itself as "Silicon Motion Inc SM3267AB Memory Bar".

Pros: Reasonable price.

Cons: Faulty device. I've had to format this device constantly, despite using the "eject USB".

5 out of 5 eggsGood Buy

Pros: This was a good buy on sale. The capacity and speed are very good, and are very close to the advertised specs. It is attractive, capless, and has a strap hole.

Cons: The outer part and strap hole are made of plastic. I prefer an all metal composition, which the more expensive version has, but I did not like the larger physical size of the more expensive one (too bulky). The actual size was 63.75 GB, where 1 GB = 1E9 bytes, so it was just a tad short of the advertised size.

Overall Review: I ran USBDeview for my x64 system using a USB 3.0 port and default allocation size, and here are the results:

exFAT (default) format with using USB 3.0 port:
Read: 75 MB/sec
Write: 89 mb/sec

NTFS format using USB 3.0 port:
Read: 74 MB/sec
Write: 15 MB/sec

exFAT (default) format using USB 2.0 port:
Read: 32 MB/sec
Write: 24 mb/sec

NTFS format using USB 2.0 port:
Read: 31 MB/sec
Write: 13 MB/sec

This thing rocks in exFAT format with USB 3.0! Even using USB 2.0, the speed is still very good. I would not use NTFS format with this one, which is very slow.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Great flash drive....I keep a lot of movies on this to watch on the road so I don't clutter my 250 gb SSD in my laptop. Works great to supplement my ssd!

Cons: Shipping: Newegg is getting into a Fed Ex / USPS exchange system....it takes a long time. Bought this on 11/29...made it to my mailbox on 12/13. I suppose I shouldn't complain, it is free shipping. It does cause me to look at A-zon (can't say the company name, but you can guess) because the free shipping is so much faster.

Overall Review: I have been buying from Newegg for at least 10 years and spent many thousands of dollars. Zero Complaints until now. This shipping thing is a pain. Gives both Fed Ex and Newegg a bad name.

4 out of 5 eggsDrive is faster than USB 2.0 drives

Pros: I like this flash drive because it is considerably quicker than any of the usb 2.0 drives I have.

Pros: It's fast. I was shocked at the speed of USB 3.0. Yes, this is my first USB 3.0. Never really had a true use for it until now.

Cons: I couldn't get anything of 4 gigs on it. it was formatted as exFAT and according to google, that should allow same file sizes as NTFS but, sadly it didn't. Good news is, it only took about 30 seconds to fix that. Now it is working great.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Write Speed

Pros: Price, read speed

Cons: Poor write speed

Overall Review: I compared the read and write speeds for the new ADATA UV128 32 gig USB 3.2 drive to the only 32 gig USB 3.0 drive I had, a Corsair Flash Voyager that is not even sold anymore. I used 11 files totaling 20.2 gigs and a USB 3.0 docking station. (I do not have a 3.1 USB source yet). Directly connecting to the port instead of using the hub gave nearly the same results.

ADATA 18.8 minutes write. 3.3 minutes read. Combined 22.2
Corsair 11.9 minutes write. 9.9 minutes read. Combined 21.8

I tested the 64 gig and the 128 gig drives with one 3 gig file and the write speeds were similar.
Based on the very poor write speed, I would not recommend these drives.

1 out of 5 eggs2 failures out of 6 of their AUV128-64G

Pros: - metal shroud over USB connector doesn't crack/break from use
- most of the ADATA Thumbdrives I've had lock open vs many other brands that don't seem to

Cons: - now had 2 failures out of 6 sticks. I've got 10 of the 32G sticks and have never had this kind of failure rate.
- 1 failed out of the package, would not recognize and presented an oddball detection error.
- 2nd failed one is doing so after having it less than a month? maybe 2 .. and having used it all of 4 or 5 times to transport data..

Overall Review: 64G stick seems to be a problem for ADATA. 2 out of 6 units that are bad. How could they make a really good 32G product and then mess up so badly with the 64's?

The failed ones were tested in multiple usb ports, 5 different computers, 2 of which were mac (2017/2018 imac pro, and 2012~ish macbook pro).

Would recommend people avoid this model like the plague.

Pros: High capacity and very easy to use. I own 6 ADATA DashDrive UV128 64GB Flash Drive Model AUV128-64G-RBE. The devices are constantly being used and none have failed to date. I also, own 4ea ADATA DashDrives 128GB and they are also used everyday. Once again none have failed.
I like the retractable units. Don't like units with the removable caps...they are lost too easily. The drives write around 60-90MB per second on the USB 3.0 port and about 20-25MB per second USB 2.0 port. I mostly use the devices on systems running Microsoft Windows 7 Professional / 64-bit and a few Windows 8 systems. I work in IT so the drives really get a work out when I am in field locations with no hardwire internet connections.

Cons: It would be great if the USB drives had a drive activity LED.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed, failed, failed

Pros: High Capacity, easy to use

Cons: We ordered 7 of these and 4 failed within a week or two. I got RMAs for the four. Two more failed while the replacements were in transit. Eventually the remaining one and the four replacements failed as well. Didn't even bother to get them replaced the second time around.

Overall Review: Wouldn't recommend it. We went with a slightly more expensive flash drive and they're working well.

1 out of 5 eggsCrapped out after less than 6 months.

Pros: At the time the price was the best. The shape of the unit was preferred to some other styles.

Cons: Stopped being accessible on my DVD player and my car Stereo after a few months. I've reformatted the stick multiple times and although I can access the files on the computer where I put the files, the drive is unreadable everywhere else

Overall Review: If you have valuable data, avoid ADATA.

4 out of 5 eggsFast!

Pros: Fast reads and good writes; read speed for me up to 115 MBps and write up to 30 MBps, but it depends on what kind of file is being read/written.
Good quality.
Looks nice.

Cons: Only writes up to 30 MBps.

Overall Review: Overall it feels good/sturdy and it doesn't feel flimsy at all. No problems so far.

Pros: Inexpensive per GB, USB 3.0

Cons: Drive is dead after 2 months of use. Tried to get it replace by ADATA but the website keep saying the Serial number is invalid. Just wasted $25. Never again will I buy an ADATA product just not worth the headaches.

1 out of 5 eggsDied after 2 months

Pros: I had this attached to my keychain for the entirety of the 2 months that I had the flash drive. It worked great, transfer speeds for me were in the low 80s.

Cons: After safely removing it from a computer, it now no longer works. The time between using it after the last time it was usable was less than 2 hours and in that time I was only sitting on a couch. I tested it on multiple computers to verify that it wasn't just the computer and this has not happened with any other devices on that computer.

5 out of 5 eggsPrice/Performance=Eggcellent

Pros: - Great price/performance.
- Sturdy construction.
- Slide function works well

Cons: None

Overall Review: Not THE fastest, but great speeds on USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. I use it almost every day as an IT Engineer for my larger transfers.

3 out of 5 eggsClip broke in less than 60 days

Pros: Backs up data as it is expected to.

Cons: I purchased this to make backups for my work laptop. I use a round key ring clip to attach it to my laptop bag. Today the plastic clip broke and I have no way to secure it. With an item this small I am really afraid to lose it.
Although I really like the device for its technical functionality I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the materials.

Overall Review: I don't think I will be buying another AData Flash drive anytime soon. Build quality is extremely disappointing.

5 out of 5 eggsA now 'solid' customer of ADATA

Pros: Many years back I purchased inexpensive Flash Drives with low capacity. My ADATA S102 Pro and a Corsair Voyager are still running strong so over a year ago I picked up another ADATA on a holiday sale. It was the 32GB model of the S102.

Although I didn't 'need' another there were a couple of fantastic sales the holiday shopping season in December 2013. The rebates are a hassle but I dealt with them and picked up 2 64GB ADATA flash drives(one is the UV128 64G the other another S102 but the 64G model) at less than the price I paid for the 32GB over a year ago.

Cons: Although all the ADATA flash drives I own run very well, I do wish they had an activity LED and partitioning software. I use Partition Master Pro to format them to have the most useful format for me.

Overall Review: I visited the ADATA website to register my Flash Drives - which can be done via the QR code on the packaging. The website offers some additional software and the like as well that you may find useful.

Cons: havent used this drive too much but it is EXTREMELY cheaply made,, feels like you could break this by just pushing together on it with just youre thumb and forefinger,,usb very loose inside the caseing.. time will tell how this holds up...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Drive

Pros: - Huge capacity
- Fast write speeds
- Good construction

Cons: - none

Overall Review: Great drive. I bought this drive primarily because of its advertised write speeds. I've tested it briefly and have gotten ~60 MB/s on sequential writes using NTFS.

Drive performs well and is large enough to hold HD movies. Very happy thus far

5 out of 5 eggsWorks As Expected

Pros: Works very close to advertised speeds. Just shy of 40 MB/s write and in the low 80s MB/s read.

The slider is tight and there is a satisfying click letting you know when it's either closed or open. Much better than my flimsy SanDisk Cruzer.

Cons: None so far

Overall Review: I can fill it up completely in under 30 minutes.

1 out of 5 eggsDefective out of the Box & Rude Tech Support

Pros: Lifetime warranty - You're going to need it with this flash drive.

Cons: This flash drive was defective right out of the box. It would not work in any USB 3.0 port on multiple computers running Windows 7 and Windows 10. It would just keep connecting and disconnecting in a matter of seconds. It couldn't even stay connected long enough to even be able to open the drive. This was with trying it on desktops (plugged into motherboard ports and to case ports) and laptops. The only ports this thumb drive would connect to was just USB 2.0 ports, even though it is a USB 3.0 flash drive.

Tech support was unbelievably rude and arrogant on the phone when I called. I answered each of the tech's question in detail. He gave me a bunch of attitude and then really flipped out when I answered his question about the possibility of all the USB ports being bad on my computers. I said I had tried every port on multiple computers with this flash drive and multiple other flash drives. I said I only had issues with just this flash drive. He told me off when I said I used multiple drives from multiple companies to verify that the USB ports were functioning. He took issue with the fact that I mentioned other brands. Then he further went into a rant about whether or not I wanted his help in being able to get this flash drive RMA'd. I had to calm the tech down on the phone and explain to him that I was simply trying to answer all his questions in detail so that we could resolve the issue with the flash drive. He finally sent the RMA instructions. The tech's attitude was worse than the defective flash drive.

The warranty appears to only be valid for as long as the serial number that is etched into the bottom side of USB insert portion is legible. The warranty submission form requires that you submit the serial number and send it prior to getting an RMA approval. You may need to write down the serial number information to keep it safe if it ever wears off on the flash drive. Or better yet, don't by this flash drive to begin with.

Overall Review: It would have been one thing if this was just a rare failure or if ADATA didn't have such rude tech support, but from the reviews this appears to be a drive with a very high failure rate. Add to this the ridiculously argumentative tech support, and there is no way that I would ever do business with ADATA again. My only regret was not testing this drive within the return period, otherwise I would have just sent this right back for a refund.

I received the RMA instructions, but I have not filled out and submitted the RMA paperwork yet. So I don't know how good or bad their RMA process is.

Other than this flash drive, I have had multiple Corsair Voyager USB 2.0 & 3.0 flash drives and a couple of Patriot Supersonic Boost XT USB 3.0 flash drives. So far my favorite has been the Patriot Supersonic Boost XT. I really liked my Corsair Voyager USB 2.0 drives, but I have had a couple of defective Corsair Voyager USB 3.0 drives. I also had better performance with the Patriot USB 3.0 over the Corsair USB 3.0 flash drives on my systems. I also prefer the case on the Patriot Supersonic Boost XT since it has a cap holder, and the Corsair Voyager does not.

1 out of 5 eggsUNRELIABLE

Pros: 64gb capacity

Cons: failed within a week. very cheaply made. very light use and various computers wont recognize the drive. laptop would ask to format the drive every time it was inserted to usb port causing loss of data. Adata recovery tool failed the first time but worked on the second attempt.

Overall Review: I guess I will find out how long it works properly. Because the drive is unreliable, I will not be using it for important files. Already bought a PNY drive which is faster and hasn't failed on me.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Fast USB 3.0 connection, great value (Thank you E-Blasts).

Solid slider mechanism. You can easily extend the drive one-handed and then push it into the USB slot by the case.

Easy RMA process. When the first drive started glitching out after a few months of very heavy use, they RMAed it quickly and easily. The second one is still going strong even after a trip through the washing machine.

Cons: Getting fine sand out of the slider case is very difficult.

The serial number is etched onto the bottom of the USB plug. It will fade with use. Write it down when you get the drive or you may not be able to read it if you have to RMA it.

My second drive sometimes fails to mount properly, but there has been no data loss or slow down. Considering how heavily I use it and that it has survived a full wash and tumble dry, I am not very dissapointed.

Overall Review: I was hesitant to knock off an egg, but the drive longevity has not been as good as I would expect from this generation of flash memory.

3 out of 5 eggsWon't serve my purpose, but..

Pros: Convenient, compact.

Cons: Cannot be read by the primary device I wanted to use it on, and so far, also cannot be read by another device. Works *GREAT* in my PC/workstation, though..

Overall Review: Sadly, "standards" apparently aren't what they used to be. I bought this item to use as a music server for a home audio device with a USB port. I have been using a smaller Corsair thumb in it just fine. It cannot read this one. I've tried reformatting it as FAT32 AND as exFAT (my device requires FAT16/32). A friend tried it in her 2013 Subaru with a factory stereo system. It read only, "ERROR." C'est la vie!

3 out of 5 eggsBe Careful

Pros: Lots of space and fast.

Cons: Somewhat unreliable.

Overall Review: The first one I got only allowed me to format to 32GB despite manufacturer's repair tool. The second one I got was 64GB until I decided to make a windows recovery drive. I used the repair tool and was able to get it back to 64GB again. None of this inspires confidence in the device. I am being cautious and so should others.

Pros: They were cheap. Other than that, they are worthless.

Cons: I bought two of these. I needed to use one today, but it didn't work. So I tried to use the other one but that one did not work either. My pc sees it for a second then it disappears, then I get a message that the usb device is not recognized or it's malfunctioning.

4 out of 5 eggsThese drives seem to always work.

Pros: - Inexpensive
- Work in almost every system, when others do not
- Not software to delete before using
- Sturdy case

Cons: - No activity light
- Confusing standards listings
- Somewhat slower speed that I expected

Overall Review: These USB drives are very nice. They work in almost every machine that I have used them in. Which is the primary reason for purchasing them. There is no software installed to delete. I have 8 of these for myself, and I my coworker has about 8 also. They work well for the systems I use them on. I would and have many times recommended this product to people.

Pros: -Fits a PS4 Pro
-One piece design
-Quick file transfer
-Great price
-Color choices

Overall Review: I like the streamlined design on this USB drive. There's no unnecessary bulk or pieces that come off. It's easy to open or close with one hand. It fits a PS4 Pro, which isn't as easy to find as one might think.
I also like that there were a couple color options. I'm partially colorblind, so being able to get a blue one that I can see was nice. It also make it easy to distinguish between this and the other USB drives I have.

1 out of 5 eggs2.5 months old, now bad

Cons: I bought this 2.5 months ago, I've always had good luck with ADATA drives, but this was the first time I bought a 128gb drive. I've tryed every way to format it, but no luck. when I was able to format it it Disk Management to exFat, then ran error scan, no errors, so I tested it with a file transfer, and mid way, notice, drive was disconnected. So its not working. Of course its past time to return it. Very disappointed.

Pros: I PURCHASED SEVERAL OF THESE - the first bunch was good for a while until I purchased my second group of 4. 2 out of 5 eggsNot pleased with purchase

Pros: Purchased TWO new 64GB drives. One was a SanDisk and the other was this ADATA UV128/64GB drive.Upon receipt NEITHER drive would work in the front USB 3.1 ports of my new BIOSTAR B450 MH Ver. 6.3 motherboard with Ryzen 5 3600. The error message is "Device Descriptor Request Failed". I was finally able to format and get the SanDisk working after many tries but NOT the ADATA drive. BIOSTAR has been very helpful and is still working on finding a solution to the problem as of today. I believe there is something unique about the latest USB 3.1 drives being manufactured since this same error message is plastered all over the internet when you do a Google search. In my specific case, the motherboard USB 3.1 ports work just fine but NOT the front ports on my case. I also have some older USB 3.0 drives and they work just fine in both the motherboard and FRONT USB ports.

Cons: The ADATA drive is not working in my new BIOSTAR B450MH Ver. 6.3 build therefor I can not purchase any further units from that company. BIOSTAR Technical Support is still trying to fine a solution as of March 22, 2021.

Overall Review: I will not be buying another ADATA thumb drive until a solution is found to make their use acceptable. It is strange that it works just fine using the motherboard ports but not the front case ports. Case is a Rosewill FBM-X1 and uses the new unified plug to feed both USB 3.1 front ports with one motherboard connection/plug.

Cons: It is plastic and sticks out due to its length; if bumped or deflected even lightly it can disconnect with the USB host (your computer) and disappear from the list of drives.
If bumped hard would presumably break but fortunately this hasn't happened to me

Overall Review: This product is all about price. If offered at a good price, then buy it. If a low profile or more sturdy drive were available for a similar price, I would buy that instead.
I don't know how I would improve the product given its price. A lower profile or more durable design would be a welcome improvement, if it were cost feasible for the manufacturer.

2 out of 5 eggsNot even close to the speed as advertised

Pros: Low price per GB at $10
You can attach a strap if you want

Cons: Not even half as fast as it says it is.

Overall Review: Bought as a gift and after it was tested it didn't even have the read/write speeds of other USB 2.0 thumb drives much less what you would expect from a USB 3.0 one.

Sequential Read/Write 40.40MB/s / 15.6 MB/s
Random Read/Write 6 MB/s

5 out of 5 eggsJust what i needed

Pros: I bought this USB flash drive to store a clean installation of Windows 8.1. The installation boots up when I prompt it to do so, so I got nothing to complain about. Additionally , the flash drive is nice and compact so it's easy to carry, but not too small that I might lose it.

Cons: Nothing so far

Overall Review: I would recommend this to a friend

Cons: -None

Overall Review: It's not fancy looking, but it does the job it is expected to do.
