Need to verify compatibility with Intel 4th generation Haswell 4770 CPU and Z87 PRO motherboard?

my ram setup is:

slot1: 1x 16gb ripjaws x series
slot2: 1x 8gb ripjaws x series
slot3: 1x 16gb ripjaws x series
slot4: 1x 8gb ripjaws x series

Hey so I am currently refurbishing an old micro-atx and have ordered the motherboard which happens to be the GIGABYTE GA-H61M-S1 and I have an idea of the processor I want which is an Intel Pentium that runs at 3.0 GHz and is Dual-core of course. This says this memory is compatible with 3rd and 4th generation processors, does that mean it'd be compatible with an Intel Pentium as well?

I took the opportunity to look at your motherboard specs. and yes, this memory is supported on your new motherboard.  The motherboard supports a total of 16GB and has two slots.  So, this memory will work fine.  However, here's the one caveat you have to watch out for:  This memory is DDR3 memory and the motherboard supports DDR3 memory so your good on that point.  But, this memory is DDR3-2400 and your motherboard specs. show the following:

Support for DDR3 2200(OC)/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules

However, in my experience the faster memory will be downgraded to a slower speed thus making the motherboard and memory compatible.  I mentioned this just in case you feel apprehensive and would rather purchase a slower memory chip.

Is this ram compatible with a board thats says "2400 O.C."? Just wondering if this does the overclocked thing, and where I might find out where to do that?

I used this memory in my latest build, my board said 2400 OC and it works just fine. I have gotten a nice overclock out of my system and do issues with the memory.  Are you asking where to find out how to overclock?

Will this memory work with ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula-Z ?

The memory will work as long as the motherboard  can accept DDR3-2400. If you get a motherbaord that support DDR3, but has a slower clock speed it will still work. You will need to go into the UEFEI ensure that the RAM is running at that fastest speed possible. You may also need to overclock the RAM to achieve your desired speed. This is a great memory kit i will add.

Depends on the motherboard. If the motherboard does not support this speed it might downclock to a lower speed.

hi Tim C I did check to see if it would work and it does what I did I went to g skill to see if it would work on the Z87 motherboard and it does  I have mine at 2200 overclock and wow it is very fast and I do have the full 32 on my computer and works like a champ in every thing I do even gaming

Yes, but you will need to set the timing in the bios to 2400 - otherwise it will default to something lower.

Yes! It works very well with AMD boards. I've tried it in several different models and they work quite well (pulls 7.6 on the windows experience index)

I do not think it will work with all Boards, read the Specification for whatever board you have to make sure it is compatible with, DDR2,DDR3, speed of board... Good luck.

I just purchased an MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard.  Will this ram work?

It "should work" if I am not mistaken that board takes up to 3300 ram, however I would always go directly to the manufacturers website to assure compatibility. In this case MSI.
