5 out of 5 eggsNo problems

Pros: Great viewing angles, color reproduction, and overall good look.

Cons: None so far. If I had to complain it would be about no HDMI. No big deal for me though.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat all-around choice

Pros: Great viewing angles, good color reproduction (in the opinion of an enthusiast and gamer, not a professional image person), excellent stand, and handy menu buttons.

Cons: The Dell logo, in contrast to the rest of the bezel, is glossy, and can reflect the movement of one's fingers while typing, which I sometimes find a bit distracting.

Other Thoughts: The monitor's refresh rate can be set to 80 hz according to some forums; I'm currently running at 75 hz without any frame skipping or any problems at all.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: Great color rendition and sharp fonts. Suitable for graphics work. Replaced my cruddy TN panel with this beautiful monitor. Highly recommended.

Cons: USB port on the back of monitor kinda goofy.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent monitor

Pros: IPS.
No PWM (no flickering used to dim the image)
Solid stand - no wobbling.
Easy to use menu, real buttons.

Cons: Colors / contrast weren't quite as vibrant as I was expecting. I think I prefer the older Samsung LCD that it replaced oddly enough.

The main issue I found was a faint 1" wide blue tint column running from the top to bottom of the far left side of the monitor. Noticeable in all color modes on a bright background, like white. It's annoying. Viewing from different angles has little effect at diminishing the blue tint. Other edges of the screen do not show any tint.

I'm RMAing this one and hope it isn't an inherent issue on this model in general. No one else has mentioned it, so I'm hoping the replacement does not have this issue.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent monitor

Pros: -Relatively cheap

-Good color reproduction

-Good reviews from tftcentral help

Cons: -Came with 1 dead pixlel, waiting for a replacement right now.

-1080p is slowly dying out, I see myself getting a 1440p or higher monitor in a few years once the technology matures

5 out of 5 eggsLove this monitor.

Pros: This is a gorgeous display. I purchased several of these at my work to replace several Samsung and Planar displays that failed and my staff have been quite happy. I finally took the plunge and bought one for myself at home. The only gaming I do is World of Warcraft and Star Trek Online. It's quite satisfactory for those titles. (I haven't tested Battlefield 4 yet.) Through Dell I paid a little extra and got the 4 year warranty instead of the standard 3 year. It's got all the ports I need and swivels, not that I'll ever use that feature.

Cons: I bought it through Dell so I paid a premium. If I had bought through Newegg, I don't know if I could've got the four year warranty.

Other Thoughts: I do IT Administration professionally and casual gaming. This monitor is sweet. The anti-glare is nice too and is far superior to the HP monitor this replaced. I just ordered my boss the 27" version. Make your own decision, but I'm very happy with mine.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR

Pros: Size & flexibility

Cons: VERY BLURRY (shadow images superimposed)

Other Thoughts: When I first got this monitor, I could see a visible "shadow" for all texts/images/shapes on the monitor

I tried updating the driver software, combing the windows forum so that all "shadow" visual effects were turned off, switching the cables, switching to a different computer, and basically whatever one should try out before blaming the product

None of the above worked out

I bought a "Full HD" monitor that makes my eyes hurt so bad from the blurry image that I need to rest after 10~15 minutes of work everytime

It's ironic how the marketing phrase is "A visually brilliant boost to your productivity." since this monitor is not visually brilliant (the image quality is worse than an old lcd monitor from the late 90s) and it has significantly reduced my productivity

Besides, I didn't even mention the visible scratch on the bottom plate that was there when I got this out of the box.

I read a review on this product from a different website and the review mentioned that the quality is inconsistent. I thought I wouldn't receive such a "bad egg". Look how happy I am right now.

And wait, the best part is yet to come

I won't be able to get a return or replacement because I threw out the box during the weeks I was trying to solve the problem

This one is totally on me since I should have simply repackage the product and complain to the company before trying to find the solution on my own

DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR

I would recommend you buy a CRT monitor rather than buying this one, unless you want to torture your eyes and want to deteriorate your vision as soon as possible

If you do buy it, check for any problems and if you do find one quickly repackage and return it because who knows what other excuses will be used to reject a return/replacement request

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent monitor, excellent value!

Pros: I wanted an affordable monitor to use for everyday use and for photo editing using a laptop in an "away" office. In short, I am very very happy with my selection.

I used an X-rite i1 Display Pro "puck" and software to profile the monitor (using Windows 8.0) and made an inexpensive monitor hood out of black foamcore and gaffer tape. I later compared the results to my much more expensive 30" NEC which uses a custom "puck" and software for profiling and images edited with the laptop and P2414 did not need to be adjusted when moved them to my PC with the NEC.

To sum up, this monitor is great for everyday use and photo editing assuming you profile it (it is too bright out of the box) etc. (Even out of the box the colors were great.

Cons: Personally I don't like the silver colored trim on the monitor as i would prefer non-reflective black - but this does not affect my positive feelings about this monitor.
