5 out of 5 eggsGreat case, bad packaging/shipping?

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: -Comes with 7 (7!!!) somewhat-medium/high quality fans.
-Very roomy and very affordable for a full tower case.
-Has space for wire routing.
-Aesthetically pleasing (at least to me.)
-Hot swap dock for an SSD (love it!)
-Foam insulated for noise suppression!

Cons: When it arrived, one of the front panels where you put disk drives was broken. I'm not sure if this was the manufacturers fault or simply fedex handling the case too roughly during shipping.

It's not really a big deal however, since I plan on just removing the broken panel and installing a CD/DVD drive.

Other Thoughts: Great case!

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: Big case... Lots of fans.. great value..

Cons: Top fans are fused to a piece of plastic... do not see any way to attach a water cooled system to this case.

3 out of 5 eggsGood case

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: Spacey
Space under mobo panel to run wires through
7 fans
Nice looking
Good price

Cons: None, other than after setting everything up. When I went to try out the fan control switches it fried out and smoked up a little. Not exactly sure what they were supposed to do in the first place but they sure don't work now.Kind of mad about this, but already put too much work into it to send it back.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Price, Decent Case

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: 1. Fans, Fans, Fans loads of fans, yet still really quite
2. Lots of possible expansion room
3. Well labeled wires and connectors.

Cons: 1.The directions were black and white and didn't actually give any directions at all, however if you are buying this case you must already know how to build computers and the directions are obsolete.
2. the location of the front I/O panel wires actually prevent you from using the top expansion slot for a DVD or Blu-ray player, but a fan speed monitor and control will fit nicely.
3. The specifications quote 6 hard drive slots but only provides 3 sleds for those hard drives (this needs attention)

Other Thoughts: This case is quite large, may not be as big as the Corsair Obsidian 900d. but large enough for any gamer or enthusiast.

1 out of 5 eggsVery Disapointed

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: It has a good look, lots of room.

Cons: Long list. Here it goes, in order of how annoying it was. (1) the power button has a short in it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. I have to move the cables around inside until it works. Can't get it apart to re-solder the connection/replace the conductor. (2) one of the fans is broken. (3) The front-panel fan controls are totally unnecessary. Using the Chassis Fan connections of the MOBO, it's much better. Lots of useless conductors and connectors that just get in the way of wire management. (4) Absolutely no directions, not even available on line. (5) only three HDD clips for the 6 slots, and I can't find out how to buy more. Very disappointed. The only reason I don't send it back is because it's done now and I can't bring myself to pull it all apart.

3 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: Price, Comes with pre-installed fans, Full tower

Cons: The instructions were a joke and didn't help at all. Several typos, bad english. Had to remove one of the side fans to be able to put the side panel on due to my heatsink colliding with it. Fan controllers don't work at all.

Other Thoughts: I believe I'll get me another Cooler Master case the next time...

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case for the price

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: Hot swappable SATA attachment on top of case
Full tower, Nice large case, plenty of room
7 120mm fans with speed controls
Easy drive mounting

Cons: Tons of BRIGHT blue LEDs
Only comes with hardware to mount 3 drives

Other Thoughts: This is a nice, well priced full tower case. Not the fanciest or best looking, but for the price it is a pretty slick looking case. It is big enough to fit my Phantek dual 120mm CPU cooler, although I had to remove one of the side fans to make room. Initial wiring was a little daunting as it seems like there are cables everywhere, but if you take you time and think it through it isn't too bad.

For me, the blue LEDs are a little much as I keep this machine in my bedroom and it really lights up the room when I need to leave it on over night.

The first time I powered it on one of the top USB ports smoked. Others have mentioned this as well, something to do with how you wire up the power. The port has worked fine ever since, so not sure what it means.

The lack of mounts for drives is a bit of a problem as I can't figure out how to get more. Wouldn't kill them to give you a few more considering all the empty docks I can't use at the moment.

Overall, I've been pretty happy with it after nearly a year. You could do a lot worse with a more expensive case.

1 out of 5 eggsSUCK!

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: ............LED fans.

Cons: TOO MANY FANS.
TOO MANY CABLES
Cables management is impossible.
No manual
Fans control doesn't work
USB port smoke when you power the fan controller with the psu.
Materials feel too cheap
Lastly, this case is overprice.

Other Thoughts: This case is way too overprice. Half of the wires doesn't even work. I do not recommend this case. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CASE!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome case for the price!

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: Great LED's, nice and bright but not too bright. Great drive bays, plenty of room to expand. Overall great amount of space inside the case for great airflow. Nice access to USB 3.0 ports. Front pops off easily to switch out fans when needed or for expanding. Fan controllers have easy access to on top of the case. Fan speeds from slow to high and turning them off completely. Great when the fan controllers actually work (I explain this more down below). I ended up switching out 3 fans with green LED fans. Makes the case look sick :D Planning on replacing all the blue LED fans with green ones sometime (I would of gotten the Skyline-07-Green case DIYPC was selling on newegg but they were out of stock). Overall awesome case!

Cons: Okay, this is a great case for the price but DIYPC HAS to start including instructions for their fan controllers with their cases. The fan controllers took me awhile to figure out how they work. I kept shorting out everything when I would turn the fans off or on slow. After awhile, figured it out and they work great now. Also, the HDD Hot swap on top of the case was not working at all for me for some reason. I have the cables hooked up correctly to my motherboard and psu. I don't get it. Oh well, I won't use it anyways. Just would be nice if it did work. Besides that, those are the only two cons I had with this case.

Other Thoughts: DIYPC needs to start including instructions for the fan controllers with this case or any other case they include them with. It's a BIG pain to figure it out.
