5 out of 5 eggsGreat gaming full tower case

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: Got this case during Black Fri. Promotion. It came with 2 USB3.0, 7 x 120mm pre-installed blue fans (2 x led x front, 2 x led fan x side, 2 x top, 1 x rear), which creates good air flow in the case. It has good cable management, can fit long 370mm VGA card. Love the blue led light at night - not too bright at all.

Cons: None so far. Manual could be a bit more detailed

Other Thoughts: Will recommend this case to my gamer friend.

3 out of 5 eggsOverall, a pretty good case

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: - Very spacious as one would expect from an ATX case
- Many pre-installed fans which is nice in air cooled system
- LEDs look really cool
- Sturdy construction for the most part
- 5.25 bays are easy to cover or replace with drives

Cons: - Some of the LED fans do not light up. I wired everything correctly, so I can only assume they were DOA.
- It only comes with 3 HDD trays which is very disappointing for a Raid enthusiast, but it also just seems like a way to cut cost as it feels incomplete.
- Cable management could be better, but it is manageable.

Other Thoughts: After owning this for 6 months, I would go back and buy a different case if I could; however, a lot of my reasoning for that is to get a case with a window, because I don't like hiding all of my beautiful components. It just seems wrong.

2 out of 5 eggsSome Parts Lacking in Quality

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: Lots of fans. Good looking. Lights up. Top hot swap SATA bay for bare drive.

Cons: Poor quality drive bay hardware - Too much wiring looks like a birdsnest

Other Thoughts: This is a beautiful case with nice options.

What lets it down is the poor quality drive bay locking hardware - it doesn't work, its hard to line up and the drives slide around freely after the first install

The wiring for the multiple fans is a mess. They're preinstalled so they could have hidden it better.

With those points resolved, I would have given it 4-5*s. Shame.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's Decent

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: -Full Tower (There is lots of room on the inside)
-8 Fan mount locations for exceptional airflow
-6 Internal Drive Bays
-3 Channel fan controller
-Hot Swap dock at the top

Cons: -The amount of cables coming from the top panel is absurd
-The front and top panels feel cheap
-Only comes with 3 HDD/SSD installation trays
-Motherboard mount is way too close to the top of the case
-Cable management is terrible

Other Thoughts: With all hardware installed, the amount of cables in the back make putting the side panel back on quite a rigorous task. Even taking it off requires a good amount of force. The motherboard mounts are so close to the top it was almost impossible to fit my Cooler Master Seidon 240m Liquid CPU Cooler; even after I took off the fins on the G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (2x8) 1866MHz RAM the clearance was almost non-existent. If the board were mounted lower this wouldn't be a problem. Be careful when getting a liquid cpu cooler if you choose this case because it might not fit. The second layer of mesh at the top is redundant as it only makes it more difficult to exhaust air from the case. Even though this case has 6 internal bays they only give you 3 HDD/SSD trays. Some of the teeth that keep the top and front panels on broke off the first time I removed the panels. There are so many cables in the back that the side panel has a slight bulge to it. Some of the LED's in the fans ended up burning out a couple months after purchase.

4 out of 5 eggsHuge Case

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: Lots of Room, Solid Build. Plenty of options. This case will fit almost anything and everything in it.

Cons: Fan controller is complicated because the fans have 2 power source cords and only one can be attached at a time for the fan controller to function.

Again, falling back to the fans/fan controller... The wires for this system (the fan controller) are very very cluttering. There is tons of wires and it is very hard to sort these out.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am happy with this case, the fans are a little lighter than I would like but keep my CPU running near 37c Overall I would say this is a pretty decent starter ATX case with plenty of options.

5 out of 5 eggsnever mind the nay sayers

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: nice quiet fan system and the fans have option standard 3-4 pin and Molex, very spacious and efficient

Cons: the fans are ok and quiet if you are about quiet fans but not extreme high performance fans

Other Thoughts: Never mind the nay sayers. Great game case, even though it can not fit the longest graphics cards of all. some extra bays for added looks installing multi card readers and CD OEM. The sickle fan look is also a great cosmetic look and with filters in every fan port area all air in and out is filtered. The fan switch works great and the FED EX delivery was smooth not damaging the case. If the fan switch was bad on some one's oem is probably they weren't very knowledgeable in what molex to plug in. The fan switch has a separate molex and using it , you do not need to use the fan's separate molex at the same time.

1 out of 5 eggsUnfortunate disappointment

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: looks good. lots of fan space. the fans that come with it are quiet

Cons: not very good for cable management. dead power button.

Other Thoughts: so, I bought this case right before i had moved across country, and unfortunately i couldn't fit the box in the car otherwise i'd send it back. I am all for the lesser known brands.. I had taken all of my components out of my old tower and placed in the new tower, which looked great, a little difficulty getting the left side plate on but i managed. i double check my wiring before i even bother trying to plug it in and everything looked correct. I had gotten everything hooked into the back and was ready to power it on, my mouse lit up so everything was getting power. went to hit the power button and nothing. i had pulled the face plate off to be sure nothing came loose, but everything was still in place. so there was something wrong with the button itself or the face plate. needless to say i had to transfer everything back into my old case and just took all the fans out of the case and trashed it. Yay 140$ for 6 fans!

2 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: DIYPC Skyline-07-B Black SECC ATX Full Tower USB3.0 Gaming Computer Case w/ 7 x 120mm Blue Fans

Pros: I can see it's a good case its sound the sales are quiet keeps the system nice and cool for where I have it the added filters help

Cons: The biggest downfall of this case the fan speed controle switches on top no matter how I configure the power it shuts the entire system down I'm using a 750 thermaltake power supply
