AZZA SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Following the success of Genesis 9000, AZZA offers its value-oriented customers AZZA GT-1, which has most of the features Genesis 9000 provides but with a lower price tag. GT-1 has a removable motherboard tray that can be installed in two opposite directions of your choosing. Placed in the traditional way, the CPU is next to the top fan. Place the motherboard tray in reverse, the ventilator is now in close proximity to the VGA cards. A giant exhaust fan placed next to the hotspot is one feature that helps keep the computer cool locally.

The other attentive features of GT-1 include its capability to house a 480mm water cooling radiator, the longest available in the industry. In fact, this expansive case has enough room for up to three radiators including one 480mm plus another 240mm and a third 120mm. Also, it can hold VGA cards up to 400mm. Maximum compatibility with motherboard allows for installation of XL-ATX, E-ATX, Full ATX, and Micro ATX. It is equipped with five easy swap HDD slots, supporting up to nine 5.25" drive bays. With nine add-on card slots, it is fully capable to accommodate quad-SLI.

5 out of 5 eggsAmendment to 1st review

Pros: Huge Case "Already wrote review" lots or room

Cons: I also wanted to add that the mainboard tray handle screws are to short and carrying the tray might lead to damage of mainboard and its hardware due to the screws popping out, adding longer screws with washers and bolts would be a great addition to this product.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: There's plenty of room for anything you need to put into it, for starters, seems sturdy and well built. The mainboard tray is a good addition, fan are nice a quite. Lots of features per say.

Cons: Not really a big deal but the GPU tray/holder seems to be flimsy and not supported well enough in the case to hold the GPU in place. i.e. moving the case back and forth would disrupt the card and knock it loose. But who would do that anyway. The bottom Fan 140mm cable is way to short for the size of the case. This might be a personal preference but one would think with a full size tower the cabling on the 140mm fan would be able to reach anywhere. "Diagonal is important" If you had a larger mainboard with limited fan connectors you'd be hard pressed to connect all fans I'm talking about the Molex connector. its about 12 inches and reaches halfway across the tower.

Other Thoughts: The instructions for the case are incomplete, there's components that are not shown. The Sata hook-up that supply the option to hook up a control heat fan would stump some people as to its purpose. If its a option or in the case show in diagrams and explain its purpose. Information is always keys to a good understand of your products.

4 out of 5 eggsThat Thing is Huge...

Pros: -FULL TOWER CASE
-Tons of Room
-Good Ventilation
-Reversible Mother board tray
-Reversible Side Panels
-Front Bottom or Back Bottom Mountable Power Supply
-Tool Free Drive Bays that Lock Tight
-Comes with 5 Fans
-Good Quality Construction
-Good Rebate!

Cons: -Fan on Face is Small 90mm, Would have been nice to have a 120mm in the front for sucking in more cool air at a lower dB.
-Only 1 Top 230mm Fan Included
-Only 1 Easy Swap Bay, has option for 5, the AZZA Hurricane comes with 4 for the same price.
-Face came with 3 broken pegs, all on the same side, that attach it to the case. The REASON I subtracted an EGG.

Other Thoughts: This Case has Tons of Room inside the case for every thing you could imagine. I am running a Full ATX Motherboard, 120mm sealed liquid cooler in push pull config, 2 video cards, 1 DVD-RW and 4 HDD's and this case has room for more. The GT1 has nice cooling, when you add additional fans to assist the included, it has excellent cable management and the video card cage helps support the longer video cards. You can switch positions of the motherboard, which is a nice feature that gives added cool points when people see the case.

The constructions is of good quality, the door panels and mother board tray are a little flimsy, while the face and top are constructed of plastic, my face panel came with 3 broken attachment pegs, i glued 2 back on and manged to get it to fit and stay. The 5.25" blanks on the face can be removed easily, the middle 3 on my face panel stay in place when on the case and pop out due to gravity while face panel is removed.

Overall the case has a SilverStone Raven Feel from the top and a RAIDMAX Gaming Case feel in the face. Overall Good Experience from AZZA, I will be contacting them on Monday about the Face Panel.

Last Thought, AZZA Better not bone me on the Rebate, the Rebate form says "$50.00 Mail-In Rebate
When you purchase an AZZA Power Supply
Only on Model: CSAZ-GT 1(NewEgg SKU:11-517-030)" this is a CASE not a POWERSUPPLY Everything else on the rebate form match, I will update my review subtracting eggs if any problems occur.

4 out of 5 eggsWhat do I do?

Pros: It's a huge case, and I love everything about it except the way it was sent...

Cons: When I went to the door the Deliver person was gone once again and I opened the door to a already Open box. Inside I found the Top Cracked and USB 3 headers misaligned. Now I'd love to get another Top for this... but How much is it going to cost me? and who do I talk to?

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: The quick swap bays are nice.
Built in LEDs are always fun.
Clear side panel allows for showing off your rig.
Interior of the case is very solidly built

Cons: Exterior parts are plastic and very cheap, several connectors were broken on arrival, but not enough to bother returning
The USB and audio jacks mounted to the case are not aligned properly; they make a snug fit for plugging anything in.
The fans are fairly cheap.
The radiator slot is top mount; which would be fine, but this tower has a reversed mother board mount, so the cooling tubes get in the way of your PCIe slots. This made getting my graphics card in very difficult. Granted, the XFX r-9 is a monstrosity, but that is why I bought a full tower instead of a mid. I doubt there will be room for crossfire should I choose to upgrade later.
The screw mounts for the mother board barely aligned, and they stripped out easily. I was hand turning and being careful, but managed to bald three of the cheap aluminum mounting screws that were included in the case.

Other Thoughts: I did eventually get everything to fit, but had to drill my own mounting holes for my 240mm Corsair due to the tubes limiting reach. If you plan your rig layout well, this may be an ok buy for you. Just know what you are getting into. I knew I was compromising a bit to save a buck.

3 out of 5 eggsAzza GT-1 Black

Pros: The case is sweet looking… Seems to be a nice setup for a gaming rig.

Cons: Upon opening the box and pulling out the computer case, the entire front (that is plastic) had broken away from the metal case. There are six plastic snaps that hold the front onto the main body of the case and all were broken. The top of the case is plastic also,,, the front (top) where the usb and mic hook up is located, had been crushed down onto the metal case. The strange thing about the case being crushed is that the shipping box and packaging all seemed intact with no damage.

Other Thoughts: Contacted Newegg and they were as great as ever about standing behind the items they sell. Spoke with customer service via phone and they handled the problem professionally. I don’t know if the case was damaged at the factory or during shipping but all is well with another case on the way. The hard part is sitting here with all the components for a gaming rig with no case. The 3-star is would be 1-star but customer service was great!

4 out of 5 eggsThis case is HUGE

Pros: The case is HUGE, okay not quite Cosmos 2 big
Space behind the motherboard plate is large, i have my SSD and all my cabling behind it
9 Drive bays, all 9 can be 5.25in, max of 5x3.5in with included drive sleds, 3.5in sleds have holes for 2.5in drives as well
Drive sleds are well made and all metal
Vertical airflow works really well
Came with 1 Hot-swap bracket, also came with 2 more mounts for more buy would need to buy panels
Basement area is roomy and partially visible through the window
Side panel window is Large clear with no tint, and shows off motherboard and components while not showing the drives and unsightly wires to said drives
The blue part of the color scheme can be changed with the swap of the stock fans
Lots of space for fans under the top piece which i find is vented just enough for exhausting all the hot air
Has enough clearance for regular 120mm fans on the back plate facing the drives (i have a custom separation wall for my drives, so a big plus for me)

Best of all the case made it through shipping in perfect condition!

Cons: Stock fans, was planning to replace anyways, but the include 140mm mounted to the bottom began squeaking at anything below 100% (aside from off)

Would have like to have seen more pass-throughs for cables for a ATX board, the default ones are spaced for XL-ATX

Drives all face forward which can be good or bad

USB 3.0 cable is completely blue (1st world problem)

Front I/O cables are not sleeved and consist of normal rainbow colors

the 2 120mm and 1 90mm fans that it came with where molex powered (the 230mm and 140mm where 3pin)

The top could be a whole lot easier to remove ( a step down from the predecessor Genesis 9000)

Other Thoughts: aside from the cosmetic gripes i had the case is great, and well constructed.
some things i noticed seem to be a step down from the original case design of the Genesis 9000 while making 1 or 2 improvements.
It has all the room in the world for just about anything (within reason) in terms of water cooling. I have a custom loop in right now and as advertised can support the large and in charge 480mm radiator in the top section of the case. will support pretty much all of the all-in-one cooling loops too.
Could use a plate to separate the basement from the main area but that would hinder the vertical air flow they designed into the case.
Found the stock cabling unsightly with the colors so i sleeved them and also put an acrylic piece separating the drive bays from the motherboard so to make the cabling vanish from the front facing orientation
My -1 egg was mostly the cosmetic things but it is one of the cheapest Super towers out right now so the premium items are wanted but they would cause case price to escalate quickly.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Case

Pros: The Case is beautiful runs like a charm. Nice size and everything works good.

Cons: The only other thing is two of the stock fans run on molex instead of three pin but its a simple enough conversion.

Other Thoughts: Every single connector for the faceplate and the top were snapped off upon arrival, not one made it intact. I assume this is due to something with the shipping perhaps the ups man was having a bad day but never less some super glue fixed it right up.
