AZZA SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Following the success of Genesis 9000, AZZA offers its value-oriented customers AZZA GT-1, which has most of the features Genesis 9000 provides but with a lower price tag. GT-1 has a removable motherboard tray that can be installed in two opposite directions of your choosing. Placed in the traditional way, the CPU is next to the top fan. Place the motherboard tray in reverse, the ventilator is now in close proximity to the VGA cards. A giant exhaust fan placed next to the hotspot is one feature that helps keep the computer cool locally.

The other attentive features of GT-1 include its capability to house a 480mm water cooling radiator, the longest available in the industry. In fact, this expansive case has enough room for up to three radiators including one 480mm plus another 240mm and a third 120mm. Also, it can hold VGA cards up to 400mm. Maximum compatibility with motherboard allows for installation of XL-ATX, E-ATX, Full ATX, and Micro ATX. It is equipped with five easy swap HDD slots, supporting up to nine 5.25" drive bays. With nine add-on card slots, it is fully capable to accommodate quad-SLI.

4 out of 5 eggsIf the price fits, then GET IT

Pros: This thing is incredible. It is everything I wanted and more. I have had custom built computers from an awesome guy for years; but his prices got a little too high so I decided to give it a try on my own. This thing gave me so much room to work with as a noobie beginner. I first had it in standard atx form, but then I switched it to the reverse atx form so that I could use the gpu support bridge, since my gpu has no backplate and was getting noticeable pcb bending. I was able to do a 20% overclock on my gpu with only a +2c jump in temperature because this thing pushes out air like Honey Boo Boo after an all you can eat Chinese food buffet. The reverse atx gave no difference in cooling unfortunately. In fact it may have increased temps by 5c, but I cannot confirm that as the ambient temp in my house keeps fluctuating lately. But with certainty, it did not go down. But it was worth while for the gpu support bracket to be installed.

This thing is great for beginners and for advanced users. As I said before, this was my first build. But now that I have built several pcs and laptops, I can assuredly say that this is the easiest to deal with.

Customer support is great from Azza. Mine came with a bent 3 pin connector on the easy swap tray, and while I do not use that currently, I may in the future. So, I let Azza support know, and they had a new one sent along within a week or two. It had free shipping and I was not required to send the old one back. I also had a funky hdd tray that wouldn't lock in whatever was inserted into it. They sent me a new bracket in case that was the reason, but it was not. Luckily I was able to just screw in the bracket into it to keep the hdd secure inside.

On that note. The screw holes, almost universally throughout the case, are not quite "right". The screws will fit, but often they are just slightly misaligned and cause crossthreading in many occurences, which is pretty annoying when you decide to move something around and a screw will not come out after 50 cycles of the screwdriver. But all in all, everything will fit.

Cons: First and foremost, the reset button. It drivers me mad. It gets stuck. So you press reset then have to wiggle it a bunch to get it to work. Or it stays locked in and will not reset. That may not be a problem for some, but when you have a new gpu that keeps crashing on you in games (this is not the overclocked one, it's just a faulty gpu) and when you try to reset the pc from a freeze, it just hangs there not wanting to reset, it can make you pretty annoyed. I have tested this will multiple configurations btw, with another case even. It is assuredly the button.

Also, the top cover. While I love the stylish nature of it, it is by far the biggest fault of this case. It limits airflow so much. That is not to say that it stops airflow. Not by any means. In fact the airflow is actually pretty great. But it could be SO MUCH BETTER if this case had a better top cover. And the audio and usb jacks...oh boy. They wiggle around so much that I constantly have to move them because they like to disconnect on me. They do not have a snug connection. Just a loose fit. I originally thought to connect my usb 3.0 hdd to them, but I would feel so scared doing it...since it will randomly disconnect and probably damage from doing so.

I also do not the 230mm fan. Don't misunderstand, I do not mean the fan itself. I mean I do not like the way they put it in the case. They used plastic pushpins. So, when I took it out, they would not go back in. And the nature of the fan do not really accommodate metal screws. SO, since I did not have rubber screws on me, I had to fiddle with some zip-ties to get the thing to lock in. It did, and it works great, but I don't see why that was necessary.

Other Thoughts: All-in-all, if you've made it through this long-winded review it means you are fairly interested in this case. So, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this case as long as the price is right. If it is over 90-100 dollars, then there are better cases I think. Otherwise, this case is incredible. I do not regret the purchase in the slightest, and I highly recommend you buy this.

I would like to make some notes:

I know a lot of people had trouble with the rebate. I got mine. It was almost a month late, and I had to keep emailing them so that they wouldn't drag their feet so much, but I got it. So that's a plus.

The top may have a lot of flaws, but I noticed someone said that theirs melted!!?!?! Even when I have let my gpu hit 90c, and it is right next to the top, and is very large (r9 390), the top has never had more than a warm breeze leaving it. I don't know what happened there, but know that whatever happened to them did not happen to me, even with some of the most extreme circumstances.

While I consider the size a huge plus. Some people may not. I am a fairly strong guy, of moderate size (6'1", 210 lbs) and this thing is HEAVY and BULKY. It's not that it's heavy in weight. It's the weight distribution that is the problem. If you need to carry this thing around, it helps to have someone to assist. I carried it solo one time, and almost dropped it. And even though I didn't, I banged up the bottom support having to set it down so awkwardly. Again, this is not a con, just a helpful note if you plan to move your pc often.

2 out of 5 eggsMarginal quality

Pros: Price

Cons: The front panel is cheap plastic. It arrived in pieces. The inside material is metal and plastic. I can't recommend this box for a quality build. Materials are cheap and workmanship is questionable.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Large case with plenty of space and plenty of fans.

The window on the left side of the case is nice as my computer sits to the left of my desk and up against a wall so you can't see the right side. This was the only case I could find that had a left side window.

Cons: The overall build quality seems rather cheap.

My case arrived with a bottom-front fan that won't run. One of the molex pins was loose which may be the culprit. The side fan rubbed against the case and I had to take it out and bend the case a little to get it to stop rubbing.

The audio pins on the top of the case are also rather loose and I have to wiggle the plug to find the right spot for it to work.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Looking

Pros: Looks are very unique.
Large size (can also be a con)
plenty of slots for anything I want or need.

Cons: Too large for some situations (see other)
The plastic parts feel quite cheap
No Dust Filters

Other Thoughts: This case was a bit bigger than i had expected. I am not complaining too much because some of the parts I purchased for my build are quite large as well and this case fit them all.
The plastic top has these two parts that look like handles, but there is no way i would trust that flimsy of plastic to carry a full tower computer by.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case - Don't Count On The Rebate

Pros: Great case, super roomy and easy to use. Like the quick swap option, but then it take your USB-3 port on the motherboard.

Cons: I bought the case because it was on sale and a rebate. But don't count on the rebate, I am still waiting but I am not holding my breathe.

4 out of 5 eggsHUGE case but won't support every water cooler

Pros: You will not believe how large this case is. It is a BEAST. It boggles the mind. This is less of a case and more of a piece of furniture (it rivals the size of some end tables and stands taller too), and provided that you have the space, you will be abel to put anything you want to in it. In addition, this has the most amazing characteristic: the motherboard tray can be mounted inverted, orienting the motherboard upside down and the graphics card at the top of the case instead of at the bottom.

The material is plastic on the top, but vented. It sucks air in though the bottom and front (it stands slightly off the floor) and moves it through, expelling it out the rear and top. It can definitely move some air.

Cons: Don't make the mistake I did: this case will not support the width of the Corsair H110i water cooler. While the advertising claims it supports up to 480mm radiators, that's in length, not in width. The H110i will not match up with the mounting holes on the top. Save yourself my headache and get the H100i instead.

Other Thoughts: Try to get it when it's on sale with a rebate.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Big, spacious, nice design

Cons: No manual. Came with the top on but the pegs were bent.

Other Thoughts: The case was almost fully assembled in the box. The top of the case was in pieces and the pegs did not match with the holes on the case and were bent so badly that they were falling apart.
