5 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC Card

Pros: Has VGA, DVI and HDMI.
Low power requirment.

Upgraded from an onboard ATI 1250 graphics system to this for my HTPC. It brought my Vista EXP score up from 3.1 to 5.0. And I got back the 128 Mb of RAM that the onboard video was using.

Cons: None if used in a HTPC system. Gamers may need a little more GPU than this.

Other Thoughts: Pay close attention to the pinout on your MB when hooking up the audio cable for the HDMI output. The black wire must be connected to a ground pin. The orange wire must be connected to the SPDIF output pin. You may have one marked SPDIF1. This is the digital input pin.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the price

Pros: Beats the heck out of the integrated video on my "Shuttle SN68PTG6-Deluxe". I am playing Oblivian and Fallout 3 on my 47" LCD and it is working just fine on medium settings, with very little noticable lag.

Cons: As someone else mentioned the audio implemenation stinks. I had to cut the SPDIF wires from my shuttle to make it work. Which is why 4 stars instead of 5, however this could be an integration issue between motherboard manufacturers and video graphic card manufacturers.

Other Thoughts: I bought this off of another website because newegg did not have it in stock at the time. It was one of the few Video cards I could find with 512MB video memory that would fit in my Shuttle.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: 512MB Vid ram, always good. Keeps your system ram available for other things. As for speed, it's good enough to run most games. Antialiasing is tough on it depending on the game however.

Cons: Wish it had a faster core clock

Other Thoughts: Video cards are too expensive

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The card seems to be built very well. Was easy to install and fit very nicely in the slot. I wanted it to deliver a high quality picture to my 52 inch LCD TV. When playing DVD's through my computer I am getting a good, clean, 1080p signal. My picture has never been this nice.

Cons: None so far.f

Other Thoughts: The software was easy to install for this card. Between the settings for this card and setting on my TV it took me a short bit of time to get things working great. I can say the delay in that was mainly due to my inexperience with this sort of equipment setup. In the end I am very satisfied wtih the results I have gotten, and the low cost to get there.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the price

Pros: Cheap card, performs very well. Has HDCP capability and HDMI-out, so I can output 1080p from my Blu-Ray movies to my TV.

Cons: Can't really think of any. Well, one: the bundled game is too hard to be fun. Guess that's not anyone's fault but my own.

Other Thoughts: This is a great upgrade for an inexpensive media PC.

4 out of 5 eggsSo Far So Good

Pros: Bought the 512MB version. Simple card for a low price, includes adapter for DVI only. Low power consumption and small form factor. It is not perhaps the most powerful card, as I have used it for older applications primarily.

Cons: Not the cutting edge, but power consumption is low, so this is the trade-off.

Box was pretty sparse, not sealed, and it could have been a return. However, everything seems to work well.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quick and easy installation. This is an enormous improvment over the nvidia 7025 motherboard graphics processor it replaces. At $62 (after rebate and including shipping) its a great value.

Cons: I'm currently using a 17 inch monitor. A larger monitor will probably highlight the fact that the 9400 GT is the low end of this nvidia product family.

Other Thoughts: Great bang for the buck.
