Based on the NVIDIA's latest 28nm Kepler architecture, the MSI N660-2GD5/OC video card is built around 960 CUDA cores and 2GB/192-bit GDDR5 memory and features 1072MHz Boost Clock to deliver more juice for smoother, more responsive gameplay. It supports the full range of GTX 600 series technologies including GPU Boost, Adaptive Vsync, PhysX, 3D Vision, and triple-display 3D surround gaming with a 4th accessory display to transport you into a new era of entertainment.

The card boasts Propeller Blade technology for improved cooling. All solid capacitors ensure 10 years ultra long lifetime, lower temperature and higher efficiency and the aluminum core prevents potential malfunctions under extreme conditions. The N660-2GD5/OC also supports the Afterburner overclocking utility, making it simple to adjust the graphic card's power and timing for even more performance. With support for NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround and a maximum of 4 display outputs on a single card, users will be able to enjoy the ultimate in gaming and multi-tasking.

  • newegg MSI Afterburner overclocking utility Co-developed by MSI and Rivatuner, MSI graphics card utility “Afterburner” allows you to adjust the fan speed, adjust GPU & memory clocking speeds in real time, and tune the voltage of the GPU to completely unleash its power. A real-time monitoring interface and burn-in stability test give gamers the power to control the card's overclocking status at any time. MSI Afterburner also supports wireless control by Android and iOS handheld devices and built-in DX 11 effects test. Afterburner is a completely free utility which is compatible with almost all MSI graphics cards.
  • newegg Propeller Blade Technology The exclusive Propeller Blade technology features unique air channels on the fan edges to boost cooling performance by increasing the cooling area and providing 20% more air flow compared to conventional fans.
  • newegg All Solid Capacitors The MSI Graphic Card uses high quality solid capacitors for lower temperatures, higher efficiency, and up to 10 years of performance. The aluminum core eliminates the possibility of potential malfunctions. For gamers and high-end users, this feature not only means better quality components within, but also much stronger support while while you engage in hard-core tuning.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg Single Card 3D Vision Surround Support Apart from supporting the latest DirectX 11 technology, MSI N660-2GD5/OC can use 3D Vision Surround technology to set up a 3-display, 3D-surround environment with just one graphics card. With high-quality 3D displays and 3D glasses, gamers will enjoy the amazing visuals in their games and movies. Up to 4 display outputs are supported on one single card, allowing you to take full advantage of multiple displays and multi-tasking while gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome GPU

Pros: Great GPU that comes with Assassin's Creed 4 (as of 2/4/14 it still does).

Cons: No Cons as of yet

Other Thoughts: Great buy from a great company with a free game that isn't one of those terrible games that came with a new Xbox 360

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: -Good performance paired with an -5 Haswell CPU @ 3.0 Mhz
-Runs cool even under load

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: -I've tested this on games using the CryEngine 3 (Sate of Decay), Creation Engine (Skyrim), Unity Engine (pre-Alpha for Gloria Victus), and Unreal 3 Engine (Bioshock Infinite). I can play all those games on 1920x1080 (HD) on Ultra settings with good performance. For the Crysis 3 engine game and the Creation Engine, framerate ranges between 60-80 fps. In Bioshock, there's a pretty wide range--in some of the cinematics, like when the songbird is tearing down the tearing, fps can dip to the 30s, but in other areas run up into the 80s (combat is smooth). In the pre=Alpha build for Gloria Victis (an MMO) the performance ranges from 50-70 fps.

5 out of 5 eggsBuilt good!

Pros: 1.) Good heat sink.
2.) Super quiet even under load.
3.) Seems to dissipate heat good.
4.) Requires only one 6 pin PCIe rail.

Cons: Non as of yet!

Other Thoughts: This card seems to handle BF4 good, WoW can be ran on Ultra settings. I haven't fully tested this card as its in a built i did for my cousin. However it runs all the games he has great. If you are on a budget, this would work great!

5 out of 5 eggsGTX 660

Pros: This GPU was perfect for me. I was upgrading my previous rig, so I needed something cheap, but worth it. This allows me to play all of the games I want to on Ultra-High settings 60 fps+.

-Small size(I have a pretty small case)
-Fits my needs perfectly
-Easy Driver updates

Cons: My only problem was not being able to use it instantly. I had to remove the device and update the BIOS. I understand that's not the GPU's fault, so I didn't knock off an egg for it. However, it was quite a pain when I couldn't figure it out at first.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's a good, budget GPU.

3 out of 5 eggsworks

Pros: Card runs great and seems to keep the temps low per CPUID program. Can run several games on 'Very High' settings.

Cons: This fan is LOUD. I have a silent case (that has padding to dampen sound, Fractal Design Define R4) This fan is LOUD!!! I'm pretty sure its defective. Shows fan speeds but it might have a bad baring. Now my dilemma is do i get an RMA and live without a card for 2weeks or should i just buy an aftermarket fan for the videocard around $5-$10.... come on MSI get it together. This is a stupid problem to have when your fan is only running at 30% fan speed

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
High performance GPU will trigger a faster fan speed thus creating louder noise.
Is the fan loud still even when the system is iding?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat performance for smaller size

Pros: Small size for a GTX660 - 8.6" long
Quiet fan
Only one 6-pin PCI-e power connector
Cool operation - usually 70C or less
Great gaming performance: 1080p and High/Max settings on all games I've tried
Cool nVidia technologies - ShadowPlay screen recording
CUDA support
2GB of ram

Cons: None so far.
Originally concerned that it wasn't a blower-type fan, but this is so cool and quiet, and small too that I am not concerned at all.
Previous generation technology, but discounted deeply versus today's GTX 760.

Other Thoughts: I needed an upgrade from my Radeon 5750 that would still fit in my Silverstone Sugo SG01 mATX case. This card seems like it was made for it! I was able to install it without needing to remove the 3.5" HDD enclosure and there was still room to route the rest of the cables. The card runs cool, around 70C under load and makes less noise than my Sapphire 5750 after gaming for several hours. Skyrim looks amazing now, I never notice a frame rate drop like i did with the 5750, and my 3DMark 06 score is now over 15,000. I'm running an old Phenom II 945 (Quad Core 3.0 GHz at stock clocks) and 16GB of DDR3-1333 and it is like I have a whole new system with this card. Highly recommended! Even the Twin Frozr would have been too long and I don't feel like I'm sacrificing anything by going with this card. Right now it is 50-60 dollars less than the new GTX 760 which is only a little faster.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great

Cons: It says it has 2 DVI ports, but it actually has 1 DVI and 1 DVI-D port.

Other Thoughts: The DVI to VGA adapter only works with the one DVI port so you have to buy another adapter to use the other port.

5 out of 5 eggsNice video card

Pros: Nice video card, if I was actually able to buy it.

Cons: I wanted to buy this today with a 5% discount code.
But because of the free "nvidia gift holiday bundle"
thats included, I am denied using the 5% promo code
that is only good for the next 12hrs.
And there is no way to refuse the free nvidia holiday bundle.
I would of preferred a lower price on this card, than software that I do not like or use.
Did not find this out until I going through the checkout process.
I canceled purchasing this item.
I will look elsewhere for this product.
Very disappointed.
