3 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.

Pros: Size, flexibility, $PRICE$, multiple monitor connection support as well as different connection types.

Cons: Its not anything stellar but then again it IS a GPU in the less than $100 range (less than $50 for that matter). I will say that despite its cons as a low price but still noteworthy GPU, this thing is LOUD! And I do mean ... LOUUDDDD!! The fan on it is atrocious. Installed in a SilverStone Precision PS07 with 2 stock Silverstone 120mm fans, Intel G3258 w/ Stock cooler, EVGA 100-W1-0430-KR 430 Watt PSU w/ a 120 mm fan and the fan on the GPU simply yells above ALL ambient case noise. With both case fans, CPU fan set to maximum via BIOS, Power supply fan running hard you can still hear this card fan over everything else. Had an XFX GeForce 210 sitting around that had a SLIGHTLY larger fan (but still a loud little bugger), so I swapped it out and it dropped the audible noise level by a noticeable amount. Still a lot of fan noise from a low profile GPU but a marked improvement.

Other Thoughts: If you want this for someone who will be using it for moderate to minimal gaming, go ahead. If there will be any noise originating from speakers or if they will use a headset then by all means, this is your card. If you want this to go in an HTPC you want to keep quiet (because, well its an HTPC) then avoid the 210 line at all costs unless you find one with a passive heat sink that doesnt include a fan. Almost all 210s I have come across have very loud cooling profiles.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Robert O.,

I do appreciate your feedback regarding the EVGA GeForce 210 graphics card. The GeForce 210 was originally released back in 2009, since then advancements in fan design and quality has increased to provide a better experience on newer cards when the fan is actually on. Should you have any further questions or concerns with your graphics card, then I would encourage you to contact our 24 hour Technical Support team by phone 1.888.881.3842 and pressing option 1 or by email: so that we can assist you.

3 out of 5 eggsFan went bad...

Pros: Low price. Works well. Can run multiple monitors, but I had random problems with browser and MS Office windows not showing up properly or half-loading on the two screens it was running (one HDMI, one VGA); no problems experienced when running a single monitor (HDMI).

Cons: After 9 months, the fan started to go bad. And this thing is *LOUD* when it starts messing up. After 30 minutes I couldn't take it anymore, so I opened the case and stuck a piece of paper in it to jam the fan. When the card dies due to overheating, ill replace it with a fanless model.

Other Thoughts: I have been very happy with Item#: N82E16814130606, which I switched to for new purchases earlier this year because of the higher memory and no fan (otherwise its basically the same card).

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended.

Pros: This is not a gaming card by any means, and I hope no one gets that impression. I purchased the card for dual monitor support in a PC that did have dual monitor output.

Takes a very low amount of wattage, does not need to be plugged into PSU, and works great with any stock PSU in a computer.

Cons: none

3 out of 5 eggsWorked

Pros: Cheap enough.

Required no extra power connections.

At the time I purchased there was a ten dollar rebate offer.

Has HDMI and DVI connections.

Low profile brackets included in the box.

Cons: Not ideal for gaming, but that's not what you'd buy this for anyway. Pretty much no cons here for me.

Other Thoughts: Worked right out of the box, no issues. The rebate offer was nice. I only needed this card to output video, not for any kind of gaming so I can't speak to it's gaming prowess. Again, if you were going to game you'd skip this entirely. This is just for outputting video. It can probably run vanilla Minecraft or something but I haven't tried, it went right into an office/daily email setup.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent low end card

Pros: Card does exactly what it is supposed to. Responds to HDMI connection and provides decent refresh rate and quality for the price. Not about to light the world on fire anytime soon. Fan noise less than expected.

Cons: You get what you pay for. Don't expect to run any medium to high level games with this card. You insert it into your PCI-X slot, it is P&P, you get video input for your flat screen, desktop monitor.

Other Thoughts: I have this to get me buy before I fork over $400 for a decent GPU.
