Powered by the fastest and most power efficient GPU ever built by NVIDIA, the EVGA GeForce GTX 680 graphics card changes your game with unprecedented performance and features. This card is based on 28nm Kepler architecture and built around 1536 CUDA Cores with 2GB/256-bit GDDR5 memory, producing reality-redefining power and bringing smooth, seamless, true-to-life gaming like you have never experienced before. It’s also factory overclocked to 1084 MHz Base Clock/1150 MHz Boost Clock, a level higher than the 1006MHz/1058MHz than reference design, to pump out higher framerate in the hottest titles. More than speed, this card packs support for all the premium GTX gaming technologies such as NVIDIA Surround, 3D Vision, PhysX and SLI. With these features and more, the EVGA GeForce GTX 680 gives you more than one way to elevate your experience.

  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.
  • newegg TXAA AntiAliasing Antialiasing helps to smooth out jagged lines in games. Existing techniques like MSAA are effective at removing jagged lines in still images but struggle with crawling and shimmering artifacts when the player is in motion. TXAA is a new antialiasing mode that combines MSAA, temporal filtering, and post processing for the highest edge quality and minimal shimmering during gameplay.
  • newegg NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready NVIDIA 3D Vision brings a fully immersive, stereoscopic 3D experience to the PC. A combination of high-tech wireless glasses and advanced software, 3D Vision transforms hundreds of PC games into full stereoscopic 3D. Get up to 2x monitor and keyboard brightness with NVIDIA 3D LightBoost technology. In addition, you can enjoy 3D movies and 3D digital photographs from in eye popping, crystal-clear quality.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely incredible

Pros: Bought a pair of these and Dell U2711 2560 x 1440 monitor, and wow............

The performance of these two cards in SLI is just jaw dropping. You literally crush every game available as of 2/18/2013.

BF3 every setting turned to max. 100FPS minimum
Crysis 2- Runs like a dream
Wither 2 with Ubersampling 40-50FPS
Shogun 2 - Every setting at max minus AA at x2 or 4 (i forgot)

They are incredibly quite too even when you set the fan to max. You can hear them, but i expected them to be a a lot louder. That might have something to do with me being used to my GTX480's in SLI which sounded like the Space Shuttle was lifting off whenever i played any game. If you use headphones or just turn the volume up a little on your speakers, you will never hear them.

Cons: None that i can think of.

Other Thoughts: Nvidia plans to release their next generation of GPU's. (Titan) within the next few months and i recommend waiting for those to come out. They should outperform the 680's, but if you are on a budget, the 680's should come down in price and they should still max every game out for atleast 2-3 years.

my build just incase what i used to power these cards.

I7 3970k @ 4.8 GHZ
32gigs of Corasir Dominator
Two TB WD Caviar Black in Raid 0
256GB Kingston Hyper X SSD
BFG Tech 1200 Watt PSU
EVGA Z-77 FTW Mobo

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Card

Pros: This card is amazing, I upgraded from a GTX 580 that I have run for two years, ran DX 11 heaven benchmark before swapping cards one card was 100% faster than the 580 and SLi'd the cards were 300% faster. Battlefield 3 in 3d runs great at 1920 x 1080, nothing slows these cards down. Black Ops 2 never glitches.

Cons: I'm gonna say price but as the saying goes you get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: My system

i7-3930k, overclocked to 4.2GHz
16GB corsair Dominator DDR3-2133MHz
2x 90GB Corsair Force 3 GT in raid 0
3x 80 GB Intel SATA II in raid 0

1 out of 5 eggsA feeling of dread...

Pros: The card worked great, but only for two days.

Cons: Without warning Tribes: Ascend crashed and my screen flickered on and off until I killed the process. A message box alerted me to the problem:

"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 301.42 stopped responding and has successfully recovered. "

Unfortunately the problem is now persistent and I can no longer play Tribes: Ascend, let alone more graphically intensive games. That is, I literally cannot play any game for any length of time - The Secret World, Mass Effect 3, GTA IV - nothing gets past the initial splash screen. I can not browse the internet without the same problem occurring every half hour. Customer Support suggested I try the newest beta drivers -- nothing. Rollback drivers -- nothing. This seems to be a problem of some frequency online. A sour taste has been left in my mouth after building what was to be my first gaming rig. I do not look forward to what may be an endless, sisyphean cycle of RMAs

Other Thoughts: Intel i5 3570
ASRock Z77 Extreme4
Rosewill CAPSTONE 750W

5 out of 5 eggsThanks a Million Newegg

Pros: I had some shipping problms with this card but newegg backed me up 100%. If it wasn't for the egg I wouldn't have got the card at all.

There seems to be some confusion about how this card differes from the Signature model. If you're going to spend over $300 on a single product then you owe it to yourself to do some research. There's a bunch of review and benchmark sites on the internet.

The FTW model uses the same PCB and shroud as the signature model. Both models have the same clock speed. Once you remove the shroud you may see the differences.

First of all the FTW model has an 8-phase power design, whereas the Signature model has a 5-phase power design.

The FTW model has the vapor chamber cooling. So the FTW model should run a few degrees cooler. The Signature model uses the standard cooler.

If you plan to overclock the card then get the FTW. If you're not gonna then stick to a lesser model.

The GTX 680 is going to max out any game on a 1920x1080 display. It's a b

Cons: Price...

I don't think this much power is needed, seeing how the console is holding games back. I bought two of these for SLI. My kids are the ones who play PC games. I benchmark and sometimes run other 3d programs.

The reason I got this card is because I wanted the best and I'm not a penny pincher. If you set aside an allowance for your PC parts needs then there's really no reason to feel shame over spending an extra $170. I upgrade my PC on a yearly basis because it's my HOBBY.

The performance gap between the GTX 670 and GTX 680 is way too close. It's really been a killer for the GTX 680. Unless you're willing to break the bank for the best, the GTX 670 is a no brainer.

I think the price of the FTW model is a bit high. I'd hate to see how much EVGA is going to charge for the Classy model. If you're an avid overclocker then you may know what the Classy model sports.

Other Thoughts: EVGA... rules. I've never had a problem with any of their products.

The only time I ever had to contact their customer service related to one of my Hard Drives not working with an EVGA 790i board. The thing is... I called EVGA CS on a Sunday night and I actually got to talk to someone without waiting on hold. The person I talked to had great people skills, understood what I was saying, and helped me work through the problem.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: -Copper Vapor Chamber Heatsink
-Quiet and Cool
-My 2 Cards Overclock to 1275/6800 in SLI
-Custom PCB with 8 Phase Power

Cons: -One of my cards was downclocking to 2D clocks in 3D apps sporadically, fixed by installing non-beta driver 301.42. Hope it isn't defective and hoping it was just a driver glitch with 304.48 Beta's

2 out of 5 eggsA little Dissapointed

Pros: - It's a GTX 680 which is a great card.
- Custom PCB.
- Custom Cooler.
- Classy Looking.
- Low Temperature's.
- Lower temps and quiter fan than stock GTX 680.

Cons: - Doesn't overclock any better than a stock GTX 680.
- Longer than a Stock GTX 680.
- Cost more than a stock GTX 680.

Other Thoughts: I started out with a EVGA GTX 680 SC Signaure series card and I realy liked that card it boost higher than what the box said it would (1187mhz) and this card realy showed me what the GTX 680 series was capable was able to get a +150 overclock on the card unfortunatly this card had an issue where the clocks would lock at 706mhz so I returned this card.... when I saw this EVGA GTX 680 come in stock I snagged it right up and was realy excited since this is a custom card for the enthusiast with better cooling block and PCB for oc'ing...unfortunatly could not even get +50mhz on the core while ocing this card which begs the question why did they even bother with all these custom parts that are supposed to help oc the card higher?...not only that the card is longer/heavier than a stock GTX 680 so what makes this card a better buy than a stock GTX 680? as much as I like the GTX 680 series I am feeling buyers remorse with this particular card.

Manufacturer Response:

I am sorry to hear you are not happy with the performance of the card. Overclocks can be affected by numerous variables such as power, actual GPU, components used, temps, etc. Unfortunately its always luck of the draw how much further past factory specs you can push a card. If you have any issues with the card please contact our 24/7 technical support (888)-881-3842
