1 out of 5 eggsCan't change admin password

Pros: It's a switch. Good web interface.

Cons: I have two of them and cannot change the default admin password on either one.
TrendNet support no help at all.
great switch as long as you don't need to secure it.

Other Thoughts: There's too much completion in this market to put up with this kind of poor programing.
Buy any other brand.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat switch in this price range.

Pros: Great fit in the niche market between a fully managed switch and a simple switch. Still lots of options available in the panel. Firmware update took seconds to do and had the switch configured and running in our medium business in under an hour. Getting 90-105 MB/sec transfers across the network now and all of our network-dependent software suites seem snappier. Very quiet. Manual is thorough and well-written, even for those with a basic understanding of networking unfamiliar with some of the more advanced concepts.

Cons: Not as robust as a fully managed switch. Perhaps personal preference, but there is a lot of real estate on the front panel and it would be nice if there was more space between the ports rather than having them lumped together in banks of 8.

5 out of 5 eggsrunning solid for 2 years and 8 months

Pros: It is a switch that you can manage. I use it as a switch to interconnect machines and allow jumbo frames in between 'em. Got it on January 2010 and threw it under the table. It is still running.

Cons: I had to change the fan to make it silent.

Other Thoughts: it is still running...

1 out of 5 eggsFYI

Pros: Works fair to decent for the first few months.

Cons: I have used this model for about a year and a half. At the time of writing, this item is no longer available from newegg. I am posting just in case someone out there is looking to buy one elsewhere.
After a little over 1 year I had to swap out with a warranty replacement. The second one has lasted a few months, showing the same symptoms as the first when it began having issues. Data transfers cycle up and down, never reaching beyond 10 meg.

Other Thoughts: I replaced this switch with a Cisco SF 200 series and oh what a difference!
Bottom line... you get what you pay for.

4 out of 5 eggsC2 Revision Rocks

Pros: Fanless, SNMP v1,Updated GUI,Jumbo Frame standard with the C2 revision

Cons: 1 bad pin3 on port 1. But RMA should take care of this

Other Thoughts: Perfect for my little 6 box colo gear and with the vlan I can run both gb nics into this thing and vlan em so the second nics can communicate without that extra cost for hw @ the datacenter per month :)

5 out of 5 eggs18 months still running

Pros: Manageable and easy to setup. Good switch for the price. This thing has been running for quite sometimes. I use it as an alternative to D-Link DGS-1216T, saving some money. Also it is not as noisy as the D-Link. They are both good switches for gigabit. Reasonable price.

Cons: Made in china.

1 out of 5 eggsNot very good

Pros: Umm well if you want a unmanageable gig switch you go it! Not very well programmed.

Cons: I wasnt able to set the ports in to 1000m full duplex, the software prevents it if it thinks your not matched. Tech support told me it was my CAT5E cable and that i had to use CAT6, I called back when the CAT6 didnt work and i was told it needed to be CAT5 not 5E or 6, when that didnt work they told me it was bad. I have read other reviews that had the same problem. If you want to manage 10/100 then go for it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Nice install, rack rails work just fine

Cons: Could use a larger jumbo frame size (some are now running over 10K)

Other Thoughts: Installed, configured per instructions, has run great ever since. Works on all my gig cards, have not had an issue with it not connecting at the NIC's rated speed, and speed has been great.
