2 out of 5 eggsSecond try

Pros: The second one is running, fairly quiet, and seems to be up to the power requirements. The RMA/replacement process with EVGA was not too bad, and the people were very pleasant to deal with. The only reason I give 2 eggs is because of those people, because the products they sell/service are off of my shopping list for good.

Cons: First one of these I bought was partially DOA, and after 6 or 7 reboots to diagnose, failed completely. The replacement EVGA sent destroyed my Caviar Black HDD and my Pioneer BD drive. Gigantic surge on initial fire-up, near as I could tell. I hooked this P/S to an old junk board and drive, and it worked okay. Put it back in my current rig, and it is behaving itself, for the moment. So, I spent a rather large coin on this thing, and after the disasters it engendered, a heck of a lot more. Had to buy 2 replacement drives, and lost some data that I can't (or am unwilling to) spend $700+ to recover.

Other Thoughts: I don't know the QA routine used for this company's products, but it certainly appears to be deficient. I have had P/S failures before, but absolutely nothing like the problems I have had with this "top of the line" EVGA unit. I didn't have to pay shipping twice, but paid a lot in downtime and destroyed equipment.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Works well. Seems solidly made. I like that you can plug in the wires you need to save some space in the case.

Cons: None that I can see.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: High wattage
Nice looking
EVGA support as always is top notch.

Cons: I've been through 3 of these power supplies. First one worked for a while and then suddenly my computer started rebooting randomly. Intermittent power failure in various scenarios made it super hard to nail this down. But when I kept my computer in BIOS and experienced the issue again with individual sticks of RAM at a time and removed all unnecessary peripherals, I narrowed it down to either the PSU or Motherboard. That was my first time replacing the PSU. Got the RMA replacement, and replaced the device. started happening again a few days later. Replaced motherboard and experienced the same issue.
So, I ran the computer on two different PSU's. Ran the Motherboard on the EVGA PSU, ran all the extras on a separate PSU by jumping the pins on the motherboard connection of that PSU. Didn't have any problems. The computer ran fine for a couple weeks in this state. I decided it most definitely has to be the PSU tripping something with an overload false positive or something. Replaced the PSU again. That was the last straw. A week later, reboots happened again.

Other Thoughts: This has all occurred over a year of "just dealing with it" and switching to gaming on a console to get away from the frustration.

I've since bought a different brand altogether to see what happens. I've been up on that PSU for 3 weeks. No random reboots or issues. Are my issues truly resolved? I'm not sure...

I wish I didn't have this unreliable PSU sitting around though. Can't sell it with a clear conscience and can't use it. Can't return it for store credit (want that GTX 970 soooo bad!) and I didn't buy it directly from EVGA so their warranty will just replace the device... Bummer

5 out of 5 eggsProfessional.

Pros: Product is heavy duty professional. EVGA worked well with me on replacing a faulty motherboard wire. One of the wires was not properly crimped on the motherboard wiring. Overnight shipping got me a free replacement wiring in the mail! Thanks.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable, Performance, Quality

Pros: This unit Screams

Qualityof Super Flow
Reliability of Leadex 1000W

After a long research into 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified PSU. EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 came strong and leave the competition behind. This is a very high quality build PSU I have ever used in my past years.

You can rest assure of a quality build since its based on BEYOND high end PSU maker SUPER FLOW based on Leadex 1000 W Platform. ECO mode is a life saver when you need your system to be dead silent.

10 Years Warranty combine with perfect efficiency it should pay itself off in that time easily.

It is expensive PSU and if you want to save some $$$ , you can always pick EVGA G2 1000W which does not offer some bells and whistles like little higher efficiency, Japanese caps and ECO button.

Cons: - Expensive

- EVGA bundled ugle RED PCI-Express cables.

- HUGE- make sure it will fit your system.

It does fit just fine at bottom of my Thermaltake Commander MS-I

Other Thoughts: 10 out of 10 and better product when compare to competition

2 out of 5 eggsEVGA DOA

Pros: Newegg did a fine job selling & delivering as usual. Lots of cables with the PSU. It looked like pretty good quality.

Cons: Put this in on Christmas Eve, and the unit never powered up my new GPU/card. Started troubleshooting to make sure whether PSU or video card was messed up, since both were new. Had not tried powering up the rig more than 6 or 7 times, and the PSU gave up the ghost. Put the old video card and PSU back in till this problem is resolved.

Other Thoughts: I have never even imagined spending over $200 on a PSU, but had bought an MSI R9 290X Lightning, also from Newegg, and needed a boost in power compared to my old Antec 550W. This unit should have been significantly overkill for me, and it had the best reviews for this range of power, so I decided to try it.
I know DOAs occur, and at least this one didn't blow up any of my other components, as far as I can tell so far, so it could have been worse. Here's hoping I don't have to pay extra shipping, etcetera, for a defective item. I have not used EVGA gear for a long time, but other reviews lead me to expect reasonable resolution.
I have to say I was not impressed with the deluxe packaging and so on. How much did that bling add to the price? I don't like the cables, especially how hard they have to be manipulated to plug in, but new, stiff cables magnify that issue.
Here's hoping I can update this review soon, and add more positive comments.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Ample amount of cables included.

Cons: Didn't last a day of use.

Other Thoughts: After reading some many good reviews, I was expecting it to be high quality. It turned out it didn't even last a day of use. Returned it and getting a new PSU. Hoping the next one is better than this.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful

Pros: Very quiet. Very powerful.
Plenty of cords for everything I needed.

Cons: A little long, was hard getting my SSD plugged into the Motherboard, without taking the PSU out, but, no biggie.

Other Thoughts: Solid PSU. If you're looking for a good PSU in the 150-200 range, spend a few extra and get this.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: This is my first EVGA PSU, I must admit I am very impressed with the quality of their products. I will buy more EVGA items in the future.

-Full Modular: Only use the cables you need
-Cables are durable, but easily bendable for wire routing/hiding
-Solid Construction: Housing is heavy duty steel, not thin or flimsy
-One massive Single 12Volt Rail
-80 Plus Platinum Rating
-Decent Price for Wattage and Efficiency Rating
-Heavy: a sign of Quality Construction and Materials

Cons: I do not know if this is due to voltage and/or resistance limitations but the PCI-E 8-pin cables are single ended. Meaning one cable for one 8-pin plug. The 6-pin PCI-E cables had two connectors, meaning one 6-pin cable will power (2) connectors on a video card, where the 8-pin does not. Not really a con, but for my (2) GTX 980's I had to run FOUR cables to meet their power needs. Either way the set up still looks nice.

Other Thoughts: CPU: Intel i7-5930k
MB: ASRock X99X Killer Fatal1ty
RAM: GSkill RipJaws (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2666Mhz
GPU: (2) MSI Gaming Edition GTX 980's - SLI
PSU: EVGA 1000P2 - 1000Watt Full-Modular, 80 Platinum
Boot Disk: Crucial Ultra M.2 512GB SSD
Storage Disk: (2) Seagate 1TB 7200RPM HDD's in RAID 0
Back Up Disk: (1) Seagate 4TB/8GB 7200RPM Hybrid Drive
Optical Drive: LG Blu-Ray Re-Writer
Case: Corsair Vengeance C70 Mid-Tower Gaming Case
Corsair H80i CPU Cooler
(5) Corsair AF120 120mm Red LED Case Fans
(2) Corsair AF140 140mm Red LED Case Fans
