Pros: Price per milliamp, extremely easy voltage switching, does not auto-shutoff, fast recharge (1-2 hours), held its charge at close to highest point for 3 months. Battery LED indicator is very bright. Rubber non slip feet. Very pretty! Tips are good quality, leather case is excellent quality, very strong, excellent fit, magnetic flap(no clasp, but still strong), belt loop(not belt clip!). Used it on phones, cameras (canon sd800IS-stayed on for about 30 hours before I just turned it off) (canon zr300), laptop, flashlights(replace the heavy lead-acid).
Cons: The unit will stay on until you unplug the 'power-to-device' coiled cord. The LED 'On' indicator is enough to drain the battery all the way. It can switch voltages while you have it plugged into a device. BE CAREFUL AND USE THE LOCKING SWITCH!!! The voltage will start at 3 and incrementally go up to 14V!! It may fry your device. I modified a flashlight to accept this power unit and i accidentally switched the voltage and fried the bulb. Since then I've been very careful to use the locking switch. You must plug in the device power cord in order to check battery capacity.
Other Thoughts: When it's in the case, this thing is SOLID. Cord does not come out easily, which is important to me since I'd be moving a device around. It's never gotten too hot. It also doesn't look goofy on the belt. I used it to power a telescope's motors when I was out in the field. I could also power my camera while digiscoping, which uses a lot of batteries. When you're on vacation and don't want to bother with a hundred AA's, then this is your tool. Newegg is the cheapest I could find this excellent device. If you have a device that uses 12VDC, essentially, you can use this to power it. As long as it's the same or smaller size as a 15" laptop. If your device is an odd voltage like 10.4V, most likely, you can still use this battery either at 9V or 12V setting. Since I bought it, I've probably saved a hundred or more dollars on buying AA's.
