Rosewill RDRD-11006 3.5" HDD Mounting Kit for 5.25" Drive Bay

Pros: cheap, works, easy to install

Cons: will only mount hard drives, will not work on Memory card Readers, not enough screw holes

Pros: Works perfectly for mounting your drives in your 5.25" bays. Comes with all hardware that is needed.

Cons: Metal is a little on thin side, but for the price I think it's justified.

Pros: Comes as packaged, plenty of screws

Cons: A bit too light weight for my liking, but not the end of the world. The holes did not agree with my case, so I ended up not using them.

Pros: It's two pieces of metal allowing you to mount a 3.5" drive in a 5.25" bay. It's cheap and does exactly what it says it does.

Cons: Somewhat flimsy—should be fine, but I doubt they'll hold up to much more stress than just holding a drive in place (not that you should be subjecting your drive bays to such treatment anyway…). Very awkward design, making it difficult to mount the brackets on the drive and then difficult to mount the bracketed drive in the bay. No straight shot for basically any of the screws, making attachment a fiddly experience with the screwdriver at an angle. Some of the hole spacing seemed slightly off. If you're ever going to remove the drive you're mounting, spend the money on something that will be less of a pain to deal with.

Other Thoughts: All those cons given, it's simple, cheap and works. There's a lot to be said for that.

Pros: Price is fair ($4 w/ free shipping), does its job.

Cons: Flimsy, installing it was not as intuitive as I thought (I wished they included a sheet of instructions, nothing much). Also, they do not support the entire drive, just half.

Other Thoughts: Nothing really, I wished they included some instructions. Oh well.

Pros: Allows mounting a 3.5" hard drive into a 5.25" drive bay.

Cons: Cheap metal construction, very flimsy. No instructions, but after looking at it for 3 seconds you figure it out.. Not rocket science.

Other Thoughts: It's not a full size adapter. This allows mounting either the front or back half of a hard drive. This can be a positive or a negative depending on your needs, as other users have noted.

Pros: Does what it claims to do...no more, no less. What do you expect for 4 bucks?

Cons: The metal is very flimsy and the adapters are only about half as long as a 3.5" HDD. Consequently they only support either the front half or rear half of a drive, leaving the other half cantilevered beyond the rails. Probably OK for most installs, but not ideal.

Other Thoughts: Compared to some old rails I have for adapting 3.5" floppy drives to a 5.25" bay, these are toys. They don't make them like they used to...

Pros: It worked just fine and I could even use it in a tool-less Dell case.

Cons: I do not have screws in my case just a slider these were to flimsy to hold my drives. I have a gigabyte case.
