5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Amazing speed. Upgraded from a Athlon 64 3200+ to this and the speed difference is amazing. I tried to freeze my pc but i couldnt thats how great this thing is. I ran 20 internet explorers, Free Cell, Hearts, minesweep, pinball, solitare, spider solitare, Steam, Windows messenger, Trillian, Xfire, and Half Life 2 and after all that the cpu was running at 56%. Thats pretty good

Cons: GET IT NOW

Other Thoughts: GET THIS NOW

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: This was a great upgrade to my 3000+ Venice. Multitasking is unbelievable and gaming is improved. This is a great way to prolong the life of your 939 system.

Since this is OEM, I grabbed an Opteron cooler off that really famous online auction site, and now I'm worried because my CPU refuses to get hotter than 29C!

Cons: I don't want to say goodbye to the 939...

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great price, very good overall performance...

Cons: This stepping is not a great OC vertion (2.53 on oem cooler)but stable. My 3800+ single core (Venice) ran 2.7 but the performance overall is much better on this 2X (as it should be)

Other Thoughts: 128 X2 and 1024 X2 gives very good performance

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what I wanted!

Pros: The multi-processing capabilities are great. I can do multiple things at a time with little to no slow down.

Cons: Single Processing isn't that much better. Although I wasn't really expecting it to improve

Other Thoughts: I upgraded my AMD64 3200+ Single Core. This one is awesome in comparison.

5 out of 5 eggsMax out your 939

Pros: 939 socket. Dual core. 64-bit capable. 1 MB of L2 cache on each core. Still in stock as of 6/11/2007 and affordable (purchased for $139). Newegg is supplying it.

Cons: I received the product with one bent pin that was easily moved back into place.

Other Thoughts: If you plan on sticking with 939 for the next couple years and don't already have a dual core. Buy this now!! You won't regret it.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Processor

Pros: Main uses: Gaming, movies, dvd "backups", browsing and the occasional photoshop experimentation. There's yet to be a game out there that this cpu won't run at (nearly) maxed settings, including NWN2 and Oblivion. With 2:1024 ddr400, 8800GTS 640mb and this cpu, I have no problem running Fab DVD, WMP and WoW simultaneously.

Cons: 939 = stagnate socket. Buy ths if you HAVE to stay with 939, otherwise you're better off waiting until q4 2007 for reviews on Intel vs DAAMIT.

Other Thoughts: I payed three fifty for this processor over a year ago and I don't regret it. It does everything I ask of it, which is alot considering the average Joe. If you HAVE to have a new pc NOW, there's no beating Intel's C2D. I've been with AMD since my slot-A Thunderbirds but I'm not going to ignore the fact that Intel has essentially decapitated AMD in this particular round.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Another great deal from Newegg. First Dual core for me and wonder why it took so long. Extended my 939 board for another year :)

Cons: non

Other Thoughts: My MSI MB was a plug and play ,
Did install the AMD dualcore software for WInXP.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT 939 UPGRADE VALUE

Pros: My first dual core upgrade- installed the processor & driver/optimizer on my GAK8NPRO/SLI and it was recognized immediately - idles at 33C - a worthwhile 939 upgrade for the money- no need to replace motherboard, memory etc. This will do all I need for a long time to come.

Cons: (Al Capone?)-lol - No cons at this price if you need a 939 dual core- Get em while you can, 939 CPU options are fading fast.

Other Thoughts: Really dont have a need to go with the cost of all new AM2 M-board memory etc etc-- May not be the latest greatest, but 939 is still a great platform made even better with the rapidly dropping CPU prices -

5 out of 5 eggswill it work?

Pros: just a question

Cons: question

Other Thoughts: I have a 64 3200+ right now, on a MSI k8n neo4 platinum mobo, it supports 64 and 64fx cpus, but will it support this 64x2 processor? any info would be greatly appreciated.
