5 out of 5 eggsAwesome CPU

Pros: Fast, responsive, runs cooler with the appropriated cooling device. I got this one on 2008, and still running strong, never had a single problem with it. Easy to install and was a big improvement over my old single core Sempron LE-1150.

Cons: Does not have L3 CACHE

Other Thoughts: Rates at 6.1 on stock speed on Windows Index Experience, far comparison vs any Intel core i3 of the first generation. scores almost the same WIE of my friend's quad core Phenom 9100.
I don't feel the need of upgrading my computer at this time, paired with 8gb of PC6400 and HD 4850, 750 gb wdc black, I have a fair set up.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Strong

Pros: Not sure why I am posting a reveiw on a deactivated product but why not, I have been running this same cpu for about four years now. It has gone through some changes i.e its now in my HTPC this one that im on right now, when I bought it it was a thing of beauty for mid level gaming, and one of my earlier budget builds. For the price when I got it it was great, now its greatly out dated but it is still as strong as ever and probably made me an AMD guy for life.

5 out of 5 eggsVery fast for very cheap

Pros: fast enough for anything I need it for: with 3Gb RAM there is almost no lag in any game or doing 3d modeling

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: it's an OEM, so it comes with nothing but the chip

5 out of 5 eggsGreat inexpensive processor

Pros: Inexpensive dual core 3.0Ghz processor that gets the job done quick. Coupled with my ASRock N68-S motherboard, the unit screams with only 1Gb Ram.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Make sure you get a good heat sink and fan!

5 out of 5 eggsnot bad

Pros: Very fast, easy installation, computer booted right up with it, no problems, prompt shipping

Cons: Runs a little warm, idles at 49 C, but that is with a stock fan, i'm sure if i upgrade that, i can fix it

Other Thoughts: upgraded from 2.4 ghz single core Athlon 64, big improvement

5 out of 5 eggs3.0 Am2 DC

Pros: Cheap and works

Cons: no cooler included

Other Thoughts: can almost max out an older Am2 motherboard with this very cheap chip.

4 out of 5 eggs...

Pros: Exellent CPU... 3.0 GHz is hard to find for such a great price. Came shipped perfectly- no problem with the pins, and the CPU seemed to be able to handle my stupidity when it comes to the instalation of PC components.

Cons: Don't know (see other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: *Not all motherboards are both AMD 64 X2 and AMD 64 compatible.* Learned this the hard way- was attempting to upgrade a store bought PC's CPU, an AMD 64, to this one, an AMD 64 X2. It didn't go well, to say the least. I thought the motherboard was AMD 64 X2 compatible, like most current motherboards seem to be, but it seems I read the product page for the wrong motherboard. Be careful of this, and make sure your motherboard and CPU are compatible. Only 4 eggs beacause it seemed to be excellent and I had no problem with the packaging, but never got the thing installed... it should work with the custom PC I'm building!

5 out of 5 eggsNice for price

Pros: Very good and cheap upgrade from my 5200 almost nothing to do but drop it in and re validate windows noticed a big change in performance and fps not to mention my 3d mark 06 score went up considerably more than I thought.

Cons: It wasn't free

Other Thoughts: I wish I had an AM2 plus mobo instead of just an AM2 :/

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great price- Went right into my computer with no bios or OS problems, Dual core, runs surprisingly cool. Doing benchmarks with 100% cpu usage the temps were very low using stock heatsink and fan.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: HUGE improvement over Single core Sempron 3400+ Runs very well, Vista runs great.
