5 out of 5 eggs3000 venice

Pros: I got this chip used from a friend who was upgrading. I was replacing an xp2200... there is absolutely no competition here. this chip is absolutely more than enough in all business/internet/multimedia applications. If you are among the gamer crowd / multi app types, there are better places to go, but for a little bit of money a coupled with a good dual sata asrock MB, you can't go wrong here. I got this and the MB for my GF to play WOW w/ my old 6600 gt, and old cheapo 1gb samsung ram. talk about cheap upgrade, this is a perfect combination. she's happy, so am I.

Cons: not as fast as my 3700 w/ a 7800gt, but for WOW, internet, business or normal use apps I can't see anyone needing anything faster.

Other Thoughts: for another 20 bucks you should go for the 3700 at current pricing. But if you can score this thing used (and cheap), go for it.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic value

Pros: Retail version, cooling fan, longer warranty, great price, free shipping

Cons: Cannot think of anything

Other Thoughts: It is a great entry level A64 processor. Original heat sink works great. It is a greater value than buying OEM and a heat sink separately.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Overclocker

Pros: Overclocks great. At 1.500v im stable at 2.5ghz (279*9) on STOCK cooling. Runs a tad on the warm side on stock, got a peak at 50C, but the thermal alarm is at 75C so its not enough to worry. I can get it to 2.6 and 2.7, but i get errors during games.

Cons: Underrated chip, each chip overclocks differently, but values >2.4hz are pretty consistant.

Other Thoughts: If your like me and dont have the budget for an Opteron, X2, or FX dual core right now, this is the way to go. As AM2 takes over as the primary socket S939 will come down.

3 out of 5 eggsA good value option

Pros: If you're looking for the entry-level 939 processor, this is it. It doesn't scream but stays reasonably cool and quiet. Includes fan, although you'll need to use some real muscle to get it on.

Cons: 1.8GHz single core means you'll be upgrading sooner than you might hope. I couldn't get it to run totally stable anywhere beyond 2.0 GHz.

5 out of 5 eggs3000+

Pros: VERY Nice. Overclocked 1.8 to 2.4 (270x 9)on limited MB.
Ada3000daa4bw nbbwe 0618aaa x100087d60568
Revison E6 variable voltage & temp.

Cons: Be careful on the Motherboard you buy and who reviews it! Tweaktown recently reviewed 6150k8md BIOS on Foxconn MB which was not available to users. Instead of Foxconn's SuperStep use ClockGen on many motherboards.

5 out of 5 eggs3000+ and 64bit

Pros: AMD, 64Bit Processing, Fast FSB

Cons: Got it too late, should've gotten it sooner!

Other Thoughts: Amazing chip! Upgraded from an Athlon XP 2100+ and the difference is just tremendous! It also runs cooler than my old chip, just amazing!
