5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: great for over clocking, i was able to get it up to 3.09 with ease, didn't even need water cooling for it!! ;P and runs a burn test flawlessly!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: extreme air cooling

1 out of 5 eggsThanks.

Pros: Came quickly, cheap.

Cons: Opened the box, and the processor was laying, out in the open, on top of my motherboard.
You could have at least tape the thing shut, or put it in a box more sturdy than cheap plastic packaging.

Other Thoughts: It likely won't work, some pins are bent.
I'll RMA soon, thanks alot newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent CPU except...

Pros: A lot of bang for not much buck.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Poor packaging resulted in one bent pin. I was able to fix it but it should have been packaged better to prevent that kind of damage. This is the second OEM CPU I've gotten from Newegg with this kind of damage. I don't know if it's AMD's or Newegg's fault but it's an annoying (and potentially expensive) problem.

1 out of 5 eggsNewegg packaging

Pros: I dont really have any pro's due to the fact that I could use the processor. Otherwise im sure it would be great

Cons: This processor recieved 1 egg due to the fact that newegg must hire elementary school kids to package there products. I ordered $500 worth of parts. to find my processor right in the middle without packaging. Smashed between my gbit router and new motherboard and terabyte hard drives.

Other Thoughts: Now they want me to wait 1-2 weeks to get a replacement for there screw up

5 out of 5 eggsAMD Rocks

Pros: this is the slowest amd processor i bought, i bult it for my 10yo daughter, i have in my gaming machine a quad core 3.4Gig, this machine is incredibly fast and stable, the price point for amd's and intels, amd wins hands down, about 30% less and 25% faster, those numbers blow my skirt up, also who came out with the 64 bit processor first?? not intel, i needed a cheap machine for my daughter, i am 150 bucks total into this, as another said i will never buy an intel based machine, aslo this is my 15th amd based machine

Cons: i dont OC so the only thing i can think of its a 940 pin proc, not 939 i had to buy a new mobo for it, for others, as i have built many machines, to get into to dual channel mode, you MUST fill all the memory slots or if 2 sticks slot 1 and 3, this has been the norm for as long as i remember, and yes this is a CON it should default to DC mode if you use slot 1 and 2 i am pretty sure this is an issue long standing with the northbridge chipset, this is of no matter of what mobo you use, from 400 bucks to 25 bucks

Other Thoughts: this machine impresses me, its specs are
Kingston 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel, PCChips A15g mobo, (PC Chips is made by ECS), 320Gb WD Caviar sata 2 hard drive, an old X1550 Pro ATI pciE 256mb video card, on XP Home 32bit legit, 10" Acer LCD, and the general stuff i would build another one, Newegg you are great

5 out of 5 eggsAMD Only

Pros: I purchased this for a cheap media server machine for a minor home theater. It does do much, i run windows media player and stream videos off the internet. The processor has worked very well and with almost no thermal grease on it, it has not ran hot at all.

Cons: AMD has no cons!

Other Thoughts: I use AMD only, i am a PC gamer, so i use nothing but AMD, i've never had an AMD fail nor have i had to warranty any of them. Sense my first gaming rig, its been AMD and ZERO issues.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it Love it Love it

Pros: Bought this for my OEM Compaq system that I bought because I blew up my custom system I built. (Check my review on the adapter) and I bought this proc to replace the piece of junk that Compaq put in it. This proc gave me what I wanted and more. When I opened up MS Flight Sim, maxed out the settings and played with live weather it did not skip at all. It was Awesome. Of course upgrading a proc is not for the layman. but if you know how and you just want to add a little more punch this is worth the price. Awesome proc, and it is the best my Compaq can muster.

Cons: Nada
