5 out of 5 eggsBest price/performance CPU I've ever owned!

Pros: 4th core unlocked painlessly and without any stability issues. Overclocked to 3.6 GHz stable with Prime95 since day one, still going after 3 years of near-daily use.

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Other Thoughts: Probably the best hardware purchase I ever made - $65 on Black Friday in 2010. Still humming along as the CPU in my LAN box.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Chip ^_^

Pros: You can unlock the forth core if it is stable my forth core was not but I have this baby OC'd at 3.5-3.6 never runs hot this was my first amd build and hope to get many more years out of her as I'm in the middle of building a new pc this one is going to be my moms upgrade from a old HP she has had for 4-5 years so she will be happy

Cons: my forth core was unstable

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Tri-core, good value, MINE unlocked! (not all will, luck of the draw).
Runs pretty cool even with a sub-par HSF. Decent OC'er.

Cons: Nothing outside its basic uses...

Other Thoughts: I like the tri-core processors. Allows me to use a program build for dual core (most are now) and still have a core left over for OS uses and other programs, etc.

I did manage to get my chip to unlock to x4 and run 3.5GHz stable, if hot. However, I have no real use for the 4th core...

5 out of 5 eggsVery Happy

Pros: Finally finished the black friday build. in february.

cooler master hyper 212
using my old GTX260oc 215 stream, and an 875w thermaltake
-CPU runs 21-22c on idle. got up to 32 on prime95 on a short hour test. Gigabyte board unlocked the 4th core no prob through the bios. Havent tried a ton of stability tests but was able to get it to benchmark at 3.6 [3 cores] with voltage at 1.4, ram at 1333. seems like the board liked that setting better on OC. idle temps were 26-27c at 3.6g
4 cores OC'd at 3.2g with normal voltage was pretty stable. Others im sure have much better advice on how to OC it.
I know this thing is sold out, and probably no one else will get one new, but very stoked. Very cheap, fast, cool and stable chip. using the 3core at 3.2g for games, and COD black ops is butter smooth at x4aa, 1920x1080. running a full 40% faster on benchmarks than my old FX60 socket 939 which was maxxed out.

Cons: wish I new more about finding stability with OC, but the simple multiplier increase should have you stable at 3.4 without messing with cpu or ram voltages. computer did blue screen on higher OC's, 3 or 4 cores, dependent on ram timings. so, lot to play with, but worth playing with.

Other Thoughts: if you find one, get it, especially if you are doing a new build. very fast chip for gaming for pretty much no $$. I am trying to futureproof, and it was a great way to get an affordable chip with a huge OC potential. Spend the money on this affordable chip, and put your savings into high end mobo so you can get a high end 6core in a year at a fire sale. Last, this chip just runs plain cold in an antec 300 with the coolermaster 212.

5 out of 5 eggsSweetness on wheels

Pros: This thing is awesome. Came in a little cheap plastic container....i was suprised it wasnt broken. Slapped it into an ASUS motherboard, and overclocked her to 3.512ghz. Tried to unlock 4th core, but i was unsucessful. I guess i was one of those guys who got unlucky :(

Cons: It didnt wanna unlock 4th core :( oh well, i DEFINITELY got what i paid for.
They discontinued it! Maybe they decided they were giving the people too good of a deal and quit making them. Oh well, if they ever do come back in stock, please! Do yourself a favor and buy it.

Other Thoughts: I might upgrade to an X6 later on just for the hell of it.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate to first review

Pros: Unlocked 4th core easily - it's stable too. Overclocked cpu to 3.5Ghz. I basically got an AMD AM3 Phenom II X4 970 for only $88.99 (got it before the Black Friday deal). Considering that the 970 still goes for $185, that's one heck of a deal!!!!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Your overclocking mileage may vary.....

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: Fast and cheap!!! Unlocked the 4th core using my Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H board. Runs super cool and quiet using the Zalman CNP 9500A cooler.

Cons: None
