5 out of 5 eggsWish They Made Six-Core Athlons....

Pros: Quad core performance. Great overclocking. AM3 allows me to upgrade to a Phenom X6 when I get saved up. Just another reason I love AMD. UPGRADE PATHS!

Cons: None. System just fried, but that's my fault.

Other Thoughts: Allows me to play BlackOps at 2700 by 1440 at over 30fps with all setting maxed out.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: Worked on first boot. Used preset OC V12 setting on Biostar 880GB+ and had running at 3.2 nice and cool (27C Idle, 52C max Prime95) with cooler master hyper n 520. $83 is cheap

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggsCheep Performance

Pros: Currently using this in a personal server for family members that didn't need an actual server board/cpu. Went from a single core to a quad and this chip helps trans-code on the fly non stop!

Cons: not a 6 core

Other Thoughts: Managed to get a board that lets me use DDR3 memory with this chip!

5 out of 5 eggsThis can be unlocked!

Pros: Easily unlocked the L3 cache with no issues(got 2-3 extra fps), cheap, bought an after market cooler which is better than stock, Quad core.

Cons: Doesn't make me breakfast or NONE

Other Thoughts: Even if the L3 cache does not unlock, it is still a solid Quad core, remember this is only one on the market that can unlock the L3 cache!

1 out of 5 eggsGood Price, Bad Processors

Pros: The price is good, and it is from AMD.

Cons: I have had 2 chips now with bad cores. Although uncharacteristic of AMD, I am leaning towards believing that this die is bad. I would recommend finding another AMD processor to fulfill your needs.

5 out of 5 eggsfollow up review

Pros: I`ve had this cpu in my custom rig since 09 . the performance of my pc is just outstanding . It never misses a beat . the cpu wei is a solid 7.0 no overclocking involved

Cons: my overall wei is only 5.9 . but it`s my fault for buying a slow harddrive i gotta get another 1gb ramstick so i can go 4gb all the way

Other Thoughts: This thing wont cuddle with me and it won`t whisper sweet nothings in my ear either

5 out of 5 eggsNice upgrade from Athlon x2 5200+

Pros: Upgraded AMD Athlon x2-5220+

Win7-64 performance index: was 5.8 now 7.3

Performance Test 7-64 bit: was 1950 now 3750

Rock stable under stress load, no overheating. Runs Windows, Linux, VMware just fine.

Cons: OEM packaging is BAD... Before installing - do check for bent pins and foam particles…

No L3 cache...

Other Thoughts: I was able to reuse my old heatsink.

Thanks NewEgg !

4 out of 5 eggsIt's ok

Pros: Worked right out the package. Bought it oem. No problem came right up great value for a budget build. Offers quad core till up grade to L3 cache.

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: Gaming run smoother, lag is down and fps is steady. Programs come up faster a delight. It's a little faster compared to my last build an althon 64. on an an832 sli board with 4gs of gskill memory and 2 bfg video cards.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent CPU

Pros: Low Price
Low Heat
High Performance
Excellent Overclocking

Cons: No L3 cache (no significant effect on game performance)

Other Thoughts: -Has a 13x Multiplier, starting reference clock at 200MHZ.
-My overclocking was held back by automatically adjusted RAM timings, but I managed to boost this to 3.9GHZ.

-This is probably the best processor for the money
