AMD Phenom II X4 820 Deneb 2.8GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Processor HDX820WFK4FGI - OEM

Pros: Rock solid. I have been a die-hard Intel guy for years. This is the first AMD processor that I have purchased since my 386DX-40. I'm glad I was willing to give it a try.

Cons: none

Pros: I am not a Huge AMD fan, but this CPU may change my mind. Under $100 for quad core! Very fast, no hiccups at all

Other Thoughts: I purchased an aftermarket heatsink & fan to keep it cool. Installed easily and runs great

Pros: Nice OEM package, no fan w intended after market cooler. OC to 3.4GHZ, 2meg more L3 cache. Windows Index at 7.4. All pins are straight, drop in the socket effortless.

Cons: None.. may be out of stock. Would buy another one if in stock.

Other Thoughts: Great fast CPU for every day office use, budget price. Most of these AMD CPU are great value. AMD3 socket are easy to upgrade for future CPU

Pros: I bought these for a business that was upgrading their old piece of......you know computers and these are awesome. There is still a place in the market for them! If you game then spend a few more bucks on something faster, but in the business place these rock and will grow old and die before they need to be upgraded again.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I bought these when they were selling them with the fans, or not in the oem flavor. I really wish I could still get them. They will get you the slight overclock for gaming and the difference between 6mb and 4mb cache is silly.......there isn't much if any. This is a very good cpu! I like the oem version because I would not use the stock heatsink/fan that the original ones came with if I were to use one in my home computer. I would want a better cooling solution. When these first came out, the only boards to chose from were the 785g thru 790 series. Today with the better ram and boards, I know these would ROCK! Make more AMD and stock more newegg, because I will pay this lil amount for them all day long!! They opted out of these for the more expensive 9xx series cpu's. These are just as good as the 9xx series if you overclock them some.

Pros: Far better than my old dual core processor it was an Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2 Ghz (ADX6400IAA6CZ). Post is faster than I have ever seen it. If I blink I miss it!

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Haven't given it the break test yet. But it did improve my Windows index by 0.4! That is pretty good given the price point.

Pros: Purchased this to upgrade my system for watching Blu-Ray movies since I had read that the CPU does the video decoding.
Debated whether to spend the bucks and glad I did. Pair this with an SSD drive and your system will rock!

Other Thoughts: Going 6 core next.

Pros: bought this for my first ever self built pc, was absolutely shocked at how fast this processor is, definitely glad i decided to go with a quad core phenom instead of an athlon.

Other Thoughts: others mentioned an issue with the packaging getting debris between the pins, I don't see how that would even be possible after looking at the padding material, and the pins were all perfectly aligned, none bent whatsoever.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CPU.

Pros: It's a quad-core for under a hundred dollars. For the price u can't beat this processor. Great for gaming. Im playing Dragon Age II max settings flawless. No bent pins on arrival. My biggest fear. Great packaging by newegg.

Cons: OEM = 30 day warranty. Im a believer in aftermarket coolers. So i wasn't upset it didn't come with one. Wish they warrantied these processors for longer than 30 days. AMD makes a good quality product. Get you a good cooler and you'll have no problems with it lasting. Quad Cores For The Masses! Go Amd! and Go Newegg!
