5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Stable, Powerful, Good GPU performance only 65W max TDP.
Great value for that price,

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I was able to under volt the CPU and still running @ 4.1 ghz stable. Perfect for a powerful HTPC system or maybe even a Hacintosh that's using less than 100W all together.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than I expected

Pros: Price
3.9GHz
Unlocked (but I'll probably never overclock it)
Decent graphics (plays videos and most games without any problems)
Included heatsink keeps this processor cool and the fan on it is quiet too
Would be great for HTPC build

Cons: Dual Core

Other Thoughts: I used this processor in a new computer build for my mom but after seeing what this processor can do, I'm highly considering getting an AMD APU for my own personal build.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little APU

Pros: Awesome little APU Great performance for the price. Perfect for a HTPC or office computer. HD video plays flawless even while multitasking. Runs cool and quiet no punt intended. Ubuntu 14.04 detected the right ATI/AMD driver for the gpu with no hassle. Perfomance per dollar is good.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Order some arctic silver 5. My system consisted of AMD 6400K, 2 2gb sticks of Gskill Eco Ram 7-7-7-21-2N timing, Gigabyte F2A78M-D3H Motherboard, Corsair CX430 PSU, and a Antec GX 500 case. Only thing I wish was better was the thickness of the PC case. Overall a great reliable combo for a office.

5 out of 5 eggsGood HTPC

Pros: This can play back hulu and netflix just fine, which is what we got it for.

Cons: The system it is in has an issue where it doesn't properly wake up from sleep states. The HDMI stays down and it doesn't send a signal to the TV. I can't be sure if it is because of the processor, some other component, or the TV, but it is a pretty minor annoyance regardless.

5 out of 5 eggsMajor bang for the buck!

Pros: This APU is exactly what you want for an entry level Processor. Especially if you're a gamer who's just starting out in the PC gaming industry. Definitely well worth the money.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I love this Processor, and I can't wait to find out more about what it's capable of.

4 out of 5 eggsWell worth the money

Pros: Low cost and great performance

Cons: ummm none

Other Thoughts: I chose this processor as an upgrade from a single core sempron, and I am impressed, the turbo core is wonderful.

5 out of 5 eggsRecent upgrade

Pros: complete package, CPU, GPU, HSF and thermal paste.
reasonable price / performance tradeoff.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: upgraded due to XP out of support and this fit bill nicely.
Package this together with MSI A78M-E45 MB,
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB , Win 7 pro and a 1TB WD blue hf. System up and running quickly.
Took longer to install Win 7 than to put all the components back into case.

5 out of 5 eggsA great buy at this price!

Pros: More than adequate performance for all but the most demanding tasks, much stronger graphics than the competition, low power consumption, great price.

Cons: Dual core, not for heavily multithreaded software. Not the best choice for very intensive gaming.

Other Thoughts: I picked up an A6-6400K off another site as a CPU to use for an HTPC project not too long ago. It's more than capable of that job, far above the requirements for any kind of workload like that. In single-threaded applications, I can't tell the difference between this and my FX-8350 based big rig, or my i7 office computer.

If you look around the Internet, you'll see a lot of negative reviews of this and other AMD APU's. Don't pay them any mind, they're based on ridiculous assumptions to start with. Yes, Intel processors have stronger CPU performance--performance you'll never need or use in the types of applications that APU's are called for. They also have dreadful on-board graphics performance--performance you DO need and use. A-Series APU's have real AMD Radeon GPU's on board, and even the cheap A6 can be used to play a lot of games if you're willing to turn the settings down. And then there's the fact that even Intel dual-core i3's cost about twice what this APU does. For that price, you could get this and add a Radeon 6570 for Crossfire and do some serious gaming with it.

Anyway, it's a steal at these prices, and so are the quad-core APU's in the $100 range. CPU performance is more than good enough, and graphics are by far the best in class. Not even close. And the 65W rating on this is very conservative. Most of the time, my whole rig pulls about 42W at the wall, and only hit 78W under load, for everything.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Value

Pros: Absolutely great for everything I do. The graphics are perfect for displaying all 400 specimens of my butterfly collection at once while recording sound and video at the same time. Doing this while also doing a five-way 3 monitor conference with Australian University and splitting 2 displays shows just how strong this product is. I never fail to be impressed with AMD processors. I like their sturdy pin system. No hair like springy wires like the other brand. Very forgiving.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The 3D graphics test out with Passmark 30% higher than the competitors $300+ processors. In modern systems the processor is not the bottleneck. Even with the fastest SSD like my Vector, this processor easily outruns it multi-tasking. AMD APU is very simply a great product. Their stuff just works and keeps on working.
