5 out of 5 eggsGreat APU for the Price - $40

Pros: I bought this APU for a stream box. Dropped it in the GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XM-D3H FM2+ MB. Works like a charm, plays full HD 1080 streams online flawlessly at around 10-15% APU usage. Opening apps the APU usage spikes to 99% which is expected from a dual core by then levels out. Overall great CPU+GPU for the price.

Cons: 0

Other Thoughts: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat APU, Very Stable on HTPC

Pros: Very stable CPU. Plugged it in, ran stress tests on it overnight and it came through with flying colors. Great CPU for a HTPC build or general purpose PC.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Sure, you can play your little Facebook games on this processor. Don't expect it to have high performance in current gen videos games. It is a very solid processor for general computing or HTPC.

3 out of 5 eggsThis thing is slow

Pros: Cheap

Cons: This thing is slow.

Other Thoughts: When I considered buying this I saw reviews from other people that said they were surprised at how fast it was. I did not find that to be the case at all.

I didn't use it to play any games. I am just talking about surfing the web and running Microsoft Office. I also had anti-virus on my computer. The CPU usage was almost always at 100%.

The rest of my system was 8 GB of G. Skill Ram and a 128 GB Kingston SSD. The weak link was the processor, and it really showed.

I just installed an AMD A8-5600K Trinity Quad-Core 3.6GHz CPU and the difference is practically night and day.

Do yourself a favor and spend a little more money, you will be glad you did. I found this thing to be unbearably slow and that's why I upgraded.

I understand that this thing is cheap and the "what did you expect" mentality, but my point is that it is just not enough to get the job done, so spend a little more money.

I got the Trinity quad core for $73, and noticed a huge difference.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent CPU

Pros: I installed this into an htpc I built on a budget, so because of the decent price and more than decent specs, I went for this CPU. I have not had a single hiccup or glitch anywhere. Then again, I also ordered a gpu for dedicated graphics. It hasn't passed more than 22% usage, running Windows 7 64 bit. I use it with XBMC/Kodi and I haven't noticed anything go wrong so far.

Cons: None for me.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns cool and does what I need it to do

Pros: I purchased to go with ECS A55F2-M3 and create a very cheap XENSERVER. Runs great and I am currently running 2 installations of Server 2012 R2 on the system and they both run just fine.

Cons: It's a cheap AMD that works, no cons as of yet.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Excellent Value, ATI Video included, works great.

Cons: A little high on power consumption.

Other Thoughts: I don't know how you can find a better value that includes a fast dual core CPU and HD integrated video, especially now while it's on sale. Combine this with the ASUS A78M-E for a super low-cost, decent-performing rig.
