4 out of 5 eggsIts good

Pros: Low power.

Cons: Not the fastest.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace an old 775 system and it does exactly what I wanted it to. The gpu is quite weak, even compared to the a4-7300 its noticeably slower. On the bright side the gpu overclocked to well over 1ghz (760mhz stock) for me with stock cooler with no problem at all. Its good for what its intended for.

4 out of 5 eggsGood budget cpu

Pros: Good for a budget computer with descent speed and graphics.

Cons: Does not run as cool as other brand

Other Thoughts: Not everyone needs a rocket cpu and will suit casual gamers and web surfers.

5 out of 5 eggsVery useable

Pros: Everything works well and performs as expected.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: If only it could have been a masseuse as well, and a maid perhaps... Those who complain about a CPU/APU in this class not being super fast and powerful have just as unrealistic expectations as those I list here. :)

5 out of 5 eggsSnappy Little CPU

Pros: Perfect for home office builds. I had to build a new system for my parents who are very dependent on their PC for their two online businesses.

I was going to purchase the A6-5500 but I was trying to save them money since their budget was definitely limited. After further research I decided to go with this one and have been pleasantly surprised.

1) Fast for what it is asked to do and load times are a breeze which I did not expect..

2) Quiet and no heat issues (they won't push it anyway plus it is in a HAF 912). I have read enough warnings about AMD heatsinks but no issues here ( though I did remove the thermal pad that came with it and replaced it with Artic Silver 5).

3.) Heatsink is easily to install.

4) Less than $50. Are you kidding me?

Cons: None though I can see how AMD really needs to provide better heat sinks. They have a cheapness to them but in my case it does the job.

Other Thoughts: I would not hesitate to use this cpu again in home office builds.

8 gigs of RAM @ 1600 helps this cpu in the APU end.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for a...regular computer

Pros: Used this in a new build for my father back in February. It replaced his 10-year-old Vaio so, needless to say, longevity is the priority. 7 months in its running as smoothly as it was day one; and my father, 64 years young, understands Windows 8 far far better than I do.

Cons: Day-one speed is not as fast as a core i

Other Thoughts: I've personally owned a handful of PCs in my time. On the AMD side: K6-2, Turion 64, Athlon 64 x2, Phenom II x3 BE. On the Intel side: Pentium 3, Pentium 4, Core i3 (sandy bridge). One thing that's remained constant in 15 years is that Intel chips will start out super-fast, but give 'em two years tops and they run at a fraction of their original speed. It doesn't matter what you use them for, doesn't matter the quality of heatsink, case size (or open air for that matter), they just don't live very long! AMDs on the other hand, typically aren't as impressive out of the box, but they don't lose what they have.

5 out of 5 eggsA4-6300

Pros: Surprisingly fast for a dual core processor
Decent graphics (not a world beater but more than enough for Video Streaming and light to medium gaming)
Triple Monitor worked on my Linux build once i install the proper drivers From AMD
Does not seem to bog down even with multiple task running at the same time

Cons: Not for Heavy gaming

Other Thoughts: Perfect for everyday use
would recommend for someone building an inexpensive machine for day to day use

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad for the price.

Pros: Fast for a low budget CPU. I put this into a media center running win7 MCE with 8gb ram, 120gb SSD and 500mb HDD on a ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+ board. It boots fast and works good for this purpose.

Cons: Not quad core and could use more Cache.

Other Thoughts: If you want a good low budget CPU the AMD APU's seem to be good. I ventured away from AMD after the problems with the Athalon XP CPU's I had. So after many years running Intel chips I thought I would give AMD another shot.
I wanted an all in one to replace my aging intel setup for my HTPC and wanted it in an ITX low power setup.
I am happy to say it works good so far.
