4 out of 5 eggsPower house

Pros: it is a very fast and powerfull CPU

Cons: since it is such i power house it takes a lot of power and only certain mother board are set up to run this CPU (i used a ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z and i am very happy with it)
you will also need some were around a 1000W power supply

Other Thoughts: i have had up to 3 virtual mechanics running at the same time running moderate loads witch the CPU kepted up with it quite well.

if you need a powerful CPU and you don't care about running a 1000w power supply this this might be a good choice for you, other wise i might look in to an Intel

5 out of 5 eggsBest processor

Pros: Unreal speeds; everything is so fast. Runs very quite when underclocking it to 4.2ghz

Cons: Fresh out the box it will not run stable. I had constant freezing, and very choppy/stuttered performance. After I underclocked it to 4.2ghz and lowered cpu voltage it runs very stable and very fast.

1 out of 5 eggsProcessor runs choppy

Pros: none

Cons: It feels like it's not stable. Running witcher 3 has been very choppy. I upgraded from an i3-2120 processor and it ran much smoother. I'm pretty upset with this purchase; I wish I could return it.

4 out of 5 eggsFX-9590 Review

Pros: Great stock speeds
Comes with a good cooler
Good Support from AMD
Easy install with cooler

Cons: Out of the box with cooler it runs too hot
Had to turn Turbo off
Had to undervolt to 1.36V from 1.5v
Out of the box keeps crashing the PC Due to heat
Cooler could be bigger

Other Thoughts: Out of the box the CPU was running very hot and I was getting blue screen when trying to play games, but after undervolting the CPU and turning the turbo off it is now idle at 31c and running stable at 4.7Ghz. This can be fixed with a better water cooler then the one that comes with the CPU. Im am happy with the performance after doing all the above things, I recommend this product only if you know how to use the bios and how to change the volt and speed of the CPU.

4 out of 5 eggsHighly Power Intensive

Pros: Insane CPU, had no issues other than my own stupidity.

Cons: requires 220 watts which is more than a lot of motherboards. Just because the motherboard is compatible, doesn't mean it will provide it enough power. The only thing you should be worried about when purchasing this chip is that your motherboard can power it properly. I had the Asus Sabertooth 990fx r2.0 and didn't know it only provided 140watts to this 220watt cpu resulting in freezes.

Other Thoughts: Everything I ran my parts list through said that the parts were compatible, and they were, but couldn't run anything cpu intense because of the lack of proper power to the cpu

5 out of 5 eggsAnother Great AMD Product

Pros: I'm really not understanding any bad comments about the FX-9590. $259 with water cooling, what a bargin! I'm using the Cooler Master 932 case with all the stock fans. Using the Asus Sabertooth 990FX with G.SKILL Sniper Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 1866Ghz using the Cooler Master V8 cooler with new install of Arctic Silver 5 grease. Its running cool temp's at 33c with the CPU fan running at 1590rpm. All fans set for silent running and purring along at around 483-503-471-850rpm's, very quiet as I have the computer no more than 12inches from me.

Cons: I have no issue with this factory clocked CPU.

Other Thoughts: I have 69 background processes and 7 apps running right now. The DRAM is actually running at 35c, just 2c higher than the CPU...which is still at 33c. I was gaming a bit earlier (Crysis 3 Hunter Edition) and the CPU temps hit 44c. Temp issues...I have none. Note(this is my second FX9590 with the other mounted in a Asus Crosshair V Formula -Z motherboard in a NZXT Phantom PHAN-001BK case. Its another amazing case that really helps everything run cool. Enjoy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: I multitask everyday. Music and video editing, internet browsing and Netflix's. Open Word documents and paying bills, it makes no difference as the 9590 is as smooth as warm butter. I use 'Air' cooling and have no problems.

I use the Cooler Master HAF 932 case (3x230mm and 2x140mm fans). I use their Cooler Master V8 GTS cooler and I have zero issues. Cooler Master has a number of air coolers than works very well with this souped-up 8350 (ie9590). All is quiet and nothing seems stressed.

Cons: I have none

Other Thoughts: I've heard this is a souped-up FX8350 and that's great as I have no issues. All manufactures work to present as many interesting produced as it can.

This is one of them. I read this processor started out as a Intel priced $900. You can still buy an Intel CPU for $900 and I'm sure you would be happy, but competition, manufacturing updates and father time can help the customer. This fine CPU cost me just $254.99 (with cooler) today and AMD threw in a nice little game besides.

Now that's a killer deal, friends.

PS: this is my second FX9590, the first one updated a FX-8150 (motherboard Asus Formula V-Z) (3.6 GHz Eight Core Processor) but this processor is more than a 1Ghz faster and has added instruction set built in...a no brain'er!

This one went into the Asus Sabertooth 999FX R2 board and again air cooled with the Cooler Master V8 GTS (replacing a FX-4200 3.3GHz CPU)

5 out of 5 eggs9590

Pros: Freaking sweet! Seems to be running great so far! Temp at idle is like 29 degrees C and top i have recorded was 50 degrees C while running very high cpu game (dayz sa) for hours! I havent felt the need to oc it

Cons: A little intimidating from some reviews lolz

Other Thoughts: I decided on a sabertooth 990fx r2 mb and it has been a dream machine!

4 out of 5 eggsForget the Included Water Cooling System

Pros: It crunches simulators, games, and HD video editing with impressive speed, and I probably won't need to upgrade the processor for many years to come.

Cons: Be prepared to scrap the included 120mm dual-fan water-cooling system. This thing gets HOT just by looking at it. I should have done some more reading on the cooling challenges before getting the CPU with the WC system included. The WC system can't keep up with the heat with system at anything above idle, and the loud drone from the fans are anoying. Before upgrading it the day after I got it up and running, I thought hard about a 240mm radiator, but went for a 360mm just to be sure, and to help keep the noise down by running the three fans a low speed. I also had to replace my case to accommodate a radiator larger than 120mm.

Other Thoughts: Also be prepared to upgrade your power supply. AMD recommends a 1000 watt minimum. I'm running my existing Corsair CX750M, and while my RC flight SIM only has 4 of the cores hitting about 60%, my system power draw peaks around 450 watts. If all 8 cores were very busy, I think my power supply could go over its power budget.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother great AMD product

Pros: The FX9590 was crazy easy to install including the liquid cooling kit which was different then i had watched in videos. Metal brackets now hold it to the motherboard. When not under load it makes almost no sound at all, under heavy load it gets a little louder but still very quiet. It is crazy fast, and the temps are great for the medium size case I have, the highest it has hit is 60C. Just awesome all around.

Cons: Nothing really. Only negative is I have the Asus Sabertooth 990FX v1 and it does not seem to like turbo mode, but turn it off in bios and it runs perfect at 4700. Again this is not a negative towards the FX9590 just info for anyone in my shoes.

Other Thoughts: Buy it!
