Pros: Fast and Cool (on stock.) I'm running 4 VM's w/32GB of RAM and no problems. This chip is impressive. As impressive as the first time I used my AMD 3200+ Winchester and AMD 4000+ San Diego. Chips like this don't come along often, and from all the negatives I heard about Ivy Bridge, I bought a second i7 2600 and will skip Ivy and Haswell.

Cons: Not a true 8 core.

Other Thoughts: Bought almost a year ago to match a previous purchased unit over a year ago.

Pros: super fast. i can push render times pretty fast on this processor. obviously isnt the best, and i would pay the extra to get the "k" or unlocked version. but i bought this before i did any research, either way still happy.

Other Thoughts: i RMA'd my motherboard do to a loop series, but i left this processor in the cpu slot because i was moving too fast and wasnt really thinking. well newegg sent the processor back in a very well cushioned and solid box. very happy that there are honest people working for such a large company. cudos to the newegg employees.

Pros: Amazing CPU! I have one of these plugged into my Windows 7 64-bit workstation. I do a lot of video editing, graphic design, and 3D animation. I put the full 8 cores to use (100%) while rendering out of Maya and 3DS Max. Love this processor, highly recommended.

Pros: i love this cpu cause i edit videos and do anmination.sturdy cpu exp my computer tip over i gone from sad to mad in 60 secs.cause i had to replace only the motherboard still works as of this day

Pros: It absolutely destroys anything I throw at it. I was also very happy when i realized it CAN be o/c'd to about 4.4 Ghz, which is nearly as fast as the UNLOCKED version can go.

Pros: Great speed before overclock, never really gave me any trouble that I can remember. So far any game I've thrown at this thing it can handle it with no problem.

Cons: Discontinued on newegg, shame. Other than that, I bought it for $300 over a year ago, perhaps a little much but oh well, it's survived this long.

Other Thoughts: Apparently the AMD piledriver FX-8350 is insanely better, don't know about the price though. Do some research on my behalf.

Pros: Have had this for one month now, works great! Would buy again

Pros: Works great. Never went up to 100%. Never even went over 50%. The fact that it creates a virtual processor makes it even better(hyperthreading), which makes 8 core rather than quad core.
