5 out of 5 eggs4months and rolling

Pros: I decided to try out the amd line of memory due to the fact that I am an amd fanboy for processors.
Has lived up to my amd expectations. Amd hits another one out of the park.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Not the cheapest memory on the market. It looks good in the case tho and matches my msi parts for color theme =D
I upgrade roughly every 5 years, so I do quite a bit of research on longevity parts and makers. Have high expectations of amd living up to thier high stanards in other parts I have purchased from them and expect these bad boys to stand the test of time

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: There are none.

Cons: Blue screened my freshly built custom pc after about 5 minutes of use every single time I tried to use it. After problem solving for about 5 days straight I realized this RAM was the problem and returned it immediately. Do not buy this, it's not worth the headache.

Other Thoughts: I bought this instead and have had 0 issues with it for the past year and a half. I'm about to buy another two sticks in a few weeks to bump myrig to 32 gigs.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: This RAM worked at designated timings and speed right out of the box. I've had it running at 9-9-9-28 at 1600 for months stable with no problems. Windows rates this at 7.8 which is awesome. When I built this system I came from an older micro atx board that could only support 4 Gigs max of 800 DDR2 RAM so for me this was a huge upgrade.

Cons: I've noticed that this RAM is steadily climbing in price. When I bought these they were only 109.99, now they're 137.99 on Iron Egg Guarantee. I guess not really a con I'm just mad I have to pay an extra $30 to get a 2nd set.

Other Thoughts: For some reason I've struggled to FSB OC my rig with this RAM. When ever I get the ram above the 1600 rated speed I get all kinds of boot errors and blue screens. Probably my fault since I've kept the default voltage at 1.5 and have not manually adjusted timings. Not really an issue since its fast enough as is.

5 out of 5 eggsadd another drive

Pros: 1600, for a HTPC works for me, and to and a drive at will, save a drive dedicated for one op like Blu-ray another for gaming, one for an office program, what, pull them up one at a time or unlock the ram and run two, ( I have not done this, but I think it would be possible, like office and a media player (streaming). Awesome Ram! I want to build another rig just so I can buy more .

Cons: Have none, don't really think ones gonna pop up either.

Other Thoughts: Once installed I followed the directions @ "radeonmemory.com" gives you the option to just get the 6g;s for free or spend 17 bucks for a full 32, I don't have 32g's today, but that's today.
Because this is a HTPC box I don't see the need to push the voltages or the clocks, I need it to run long and steady, we will see as time is reveled.

5 out of 5 eggsWell it's RAM

Pros: The Windows experience index puts the 16 gigs at a 7.2 or 7.3 IIRC. Right now it is not the limiting factor on my system. I'm using the on-board graphics on the AMD A10 5800k and that's the limiting factor on my system, so if I want a higher score I have to get a video card first. Maybe I won't bother. In any case there is something to the rating system I switched to an SSD and now my bootup time from sleep is 4.8 seconds and I can boot from cold start to log in in 25 seconds. Win8.

One thing I will say I was doing some professional work and opening up gazillions of pdfs and word files, cranking out music and/or watching video, in all these different tabs and my system never blinked.

Don't listen to what people are saying "well you only need 8 gigs of ram" just get out there and get the 16 gigs and for the next few years you'll have that taken care of.

Cons: There is some debate among the circle of people who pay attention to my cpu (the AMD a10 5800k just how fast a ram you can get without needing to customize etc. I just went for the 1600 and bought 16 gigs.

Other Thoughts: works for me.

If you want to know what Ram starvation is like try my HP mini (2 gigs) or my XP system (AMD series 5000+) with less than four gigs. Then when someone says "well you really only need 8" you'll think to heck with that and get 16. Once it's in, you know, once it's in, that just puts you far ahead of the curve. And in a year or two when it's cheaper get two more. I don't know why I'd need 32 gigs of Ram but it's nice to know the possibility is there.
