Went bad in 1 month
- Pros: worked for about a couple of weeks
- Cons: screen freezing and not awaking from sleep...I did have applecare and the techs determined the third party memory was to blame. Then after reading the reviews, I see some MacBook owners are having the same problems. Hopefully Mushkin will solve this issue.

Went Bad After 5 Months of Ownership
- Pros: This RAM made my late 2006 iMac fly. The speed at which games loaded was awesome. Even though the motherboard within the late-2006 iMacs could only read up to 3 GB it still made a difference. I didn't know it couldn't read all of it when I purchased the ram but it worked and I didn't care because my performance on this computer skyrocketed.
It really helped me.
- Cons: 5 Months into use it started malfunctioning. Running the windows application, Perfmon.exe, revealed that there were page faults at normal base of 4, not 0 and spikes going as high as 20, ALL while the system was idle. I then suspected my graphic card to be bad with all the tell tale signs. But it turned out the ram malfunctioning was creating a false alarm on other hardware going bad.
- Other Thoughts: Purchased in Feb 2009. I had slowly emerging problems that started in June 2009 with games at first. The problems then made their way to programs like iTunes and Firefox. I thought the problems were with the video card because every time the system would recover from a crash an ATI window would tell me that VPU recovery reset the card because it was no longer responding to the driver. A driver reinstall didn't fix it. Then Direct X had some sort of error and a reinstall of that didn't fix it either. I reinstalled Windows and thought I fixed it even though I noticed lack-luster performance in Mac OS X too. The problems came back a day later. I suspected RAM the first time around, but the graphics card problems (from the ram) distracted me. Once I came to my senses after all this time and nothing I tried working, I grabbed the screw driver, opened the iMac ram slots on the bottom of my machine up, replaced my old ram and am now experiencing absolutely no problems at all.

- Pros: Mushkin was very helpful and helped me find another model of ram that would work. Newegg gave me a refund.
- Cons: It was difficult to find out if it was compatible with my macbook. The macbooks made in 2006 max at 2GB which was news to me. Just make sure your computer will run 4GB of ram before you buy!
