1 out of 5 eggsNever worked

Pros: Sounded great. I've read good reviews from others and thought I would benefit in much the same way.

Cons: Never worked! Installed and just got the beeping computer. Installed in a couple different laptops with the same result. Re-installed the 'old' memory cards and back to normal.

Other Thoughts: I did contact Newegg. I exchanged for a new one thinking the stick was faulty. Unfortunately, if that was the case, then so was the second one I received. I threw it in a drawer and since forgot about it. Oh well. Money down a drain.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome stuff, recommended!

Pros: I bought two of these to max out my laptop, and made ye right choice. Speed is phenomenal, performance is wonderful. The price is very reasonable, and the quality of the product is outstanding. I'd pick crucial over others every time. This is the 5th laptop I've put crucial ram in and never had anything but great experiences.

Cons: None at all. Buy with confidence.

5 out of 5 eggsNo fuss install!!

Pros: I looked at the HP website for the exact specs of the RAM, and then used the info to buy it here for WAY less. I plugged in the new memory module, turned on the power, and done! Thank you, New Egg for an awesome ordering experience with every detail of the product available! You even mail to APO's... double thanks. And thanks to crucial for the product!

Computer: HP Pavilion dv6

Cons: Cons? My mail room thought I had left the country and so it sat there for a couple of days.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, no problems.

Pros: I bought three sticks for two laptops. The first is a Sony Vaio S 15" 2012 model with i5-3210M. It has 4GB RAM soldered to the MB and one memory slot. I installed one 8GB stick and it worked without a hitch. CPU-Z confirmed that the memory runs in dual channel mode.
The other machine is an early 2011 Macbook Pro 13" i5 2.3Ghz. It runs OS X 10.6.8. I installed two 8GB RAM sticks. The computer immediately recognized that it has 16GB DDR3 1333 RAM. I ran Apple Hardware Test, both basic and extended, and found no problems.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Crucial is a subsidiary of Micron, so you know exactly what chips you'll get. Even though this model number does not say that it's for Macs, from what I read, it's identical to model that is marketed for Apple. Crucial has DDR3 1.5V and 1.35V. They say that the 1.35V is Apple compatible. If you have 2011 Mac with SODIMM, this RAM is an excellent choice.
I'd also like to try the DDR3 1600 on my MBP to see if there is performance gain.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: -1.35v this is an under valued plus, you save so much of your battery life by staying with the 1.35v RAM that your laptop came with, if that was the original voltage.
-price

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: If your machine is running 1.35v RAM and you upgrade to a 1.5v RAM you will notice your battery life shorten. Crucial makes awesome memory and I couldn't be more happy with my purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great in my Dell XPS L702X (2-SODIMMs)

Pros: Very high capacity per 204-pin SODIMM. Allows my 2-SODIMM slot laptop to run with 16 GB of RAM! Affordable price and Very fast. Scores 7.6 on my Windows Experience Index.

Cons: NewEgg is focing me to list a con, but in reality I don't see any cons. The price was very reasonable given how much high-performance RAM you're getting in such a small form factor.

Other Thoughts: I was upset when I realized my Dell XPS L702x only had 2-SODIMM slots. At the time, 2 x 4 GB sticks were all I could afford so I was limited to 8 GB of RAM. Thanks to the price coming down considerably, I can now run with 16 GB of RAM! This is important as I run multiple VMs simultaneously along with Outlook 2010, PowerPoint 2010 and other applications. The additional RAM will allow me to run more VMs at once.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked great in Lenovo W520

Pros: I use my Lenovo W520 as a portable workstation. When I run VMs about 1-2x per month, I run several. At 16GB, I would run out of memory when simulating a typical installation with 1 client, 1 ADFS server, and 1 AD Domain Server. Moving to 32 GB (with 4 of these chips) solved that problem and gives me plenty of headroom in my installation.

Cons: Price isn't competitive at $/GB with 4 GB SODIMMs. But, the price has dropped from the $700+ that was being charged down to a more reasonable $114.99 (when I bought these 1/2012).

Other Thoughts: Installing these on Windows 7, I saw my hibernate file and page file grow pretty big. This upgrade wound up eatting up all the free space on my boot disk (a 120GB SSD). I had about 70MB left after this update.

I don't use hibernation, so I turned the feature off. I also reduced the size of the page file from system managed and ~20GB down to 1-10 GB.
